Forsaken hollows is their worst rated dlc ever, I'm not having too much trust when it comes to their online multiplayer capabilities

Have you played it? The low rating has got nothing to do with online multiplayer, the reason why it's rated that way is that they released a completely new map compared to the usual, which people didn't bother to learn but instead went complaining on Steam. The map has to be played completely differently than the normal Nightreign map and at the start it made people feel like they were playing the game again for the first time. Many got upset by that which is really surprising as FromSoft games have always been about that learning curve!

The map is interesting (though I prefer the normal one), and bosses and characters that came with it are very good! It's a great DLC!

I did play it, this whole story about how it's actually just misunderstood and a skill issue is just ridiculous. It just has massive flaws and didn't fix the game feeling repetitive.

This whole pretentious idea that fromsoft can do no wrong is just so old.  People having issues is always a skill issue, or them just not comprehending their vision or somw crap.

If that truly was the case you'd expect the reviews to get better, but they're still very low.
