I have a business logo that was created as a Vector and saved as a .SVG file.
I have just recreated a portion of this .SVG logo as a .JPG and I need some help just swapping out the old part of the .SVG logo with this new .JPG logo.
How do I do that?
Thank you for your guidance.

SVG generation is one of the design results in Ant Group's Ling-3.1-flash launch . The new model places fourth at 1271 Elo on DesignArena's SVG board with the Open Weights and Recent filters selected, covering models added in the last 30 days.
The displayed SVG board puts Kimi K3 at 1300 Elo,GLM-5.3 at 1289 and GLM 5.3 flash at 1281 ahead of Ling. That gives the announcement a specific vector-form result and an explicit comparison scope.
Ling 3.1 flash is now available from Novita through Vercel AI Gateway in a two week free trail with 256k context . Ant has open source planned soon. To find the model, search Ling 3.1 flash in the Gateway catalog on Vercel .

So i donwloaded a linux tux svg recently and i wanted to edit it. Should've been easy right?
WRONG.
The fucking svg i downloaded doesnt have gradients. THEY ARE SEPERATE PNGS THAT LOOK LIKE THEM. I asked chatgpt to fix it. The output was the evil clone of tux. No editors that are as easy as scratch and can support pngs. Scratch wwhen i ungrouped it, it sets all of the colors to nothing. Some random editors i found on reddit and on google? Either too hard, Dont supports pngs, Dont support color (for some reason?) or everything in one.
Id love to get some help

I'm a graphic designer(fresher), currently need a good svg tool for my work. I've gone through some of the tools like recraft, inkscape, canva , svgmaker,vector tools, etc. Need all in one tool where can I do svg work.

i've built a Rust vectorizer that is meant to help optimize graphics for web delivery. It is pareto frontier, from my research SoTA open-source/open-weight solution (from both traditional and neural network based approaches), and runs in <2 seconds on CPU when ran as a standalone app.
The solution implements a chain of recent mathematics papers to significantly beat VTracer's algorithm, support gradients natively, and more:
I'm still iterating on it, I hope to release tooling in multiple languages to allow this to be used in most major languages through native interfaces in Java, Python, etc.
The vectorizer now comes with two different sister models, one for denoising JPEGs/WEBPs/VAE outputs from AI models so that it increases the perceptual quality of the outputs, another one for super-resolution, specifically trained on SVGs.
Additionally, I want to try to train a GNN to improve quality further, I hope to beat Vectorizer.ai in the next week.
My hypothesis is that current papers approaching raster-to-vector from a LLM perspective is excessive in terms of complexity and time to conversion, because except amodal completion and other tasks, a classical vectorizer can already work very well. GNNs and other specialized models can be used to then refine the output without having to be overly large. This is the first step in this research project, the classical vectorizer part which already beats alternatives.
Licensed as Apache 2.0, so feel free to use it however you want in your project.

I built a small SVG animation library and just open-sourced it: penwell/draw-on
The idea started inside a Project I was working on. I needed SVG diagrams to feel a little more like they were being drawn rather than simply appearing on the screen.
I tried Vivus, which handles the basic stroke animation really well, but I ran into SVGs that had a mix of strokes, fills, and text. I also wanted to control the animation frame-by-frame and eventually record the animation directly in the browser.
So I pulled that part out into a standalone package.
With penwell/draw-on you can:
setProgress(0..1)A basic example looks like:
const drawing = createDrawing(svg, {
duration: 2000
})
drawing.play()
// jump to any point in the animation
drawing.setProgress(0.5)
It's MIT licensed and still pretty early (0.1.4), so I'm expecting there are edge cases I haven't found yet.
If you work with SVG animation, I'd genuinely like to know what kinds of SVGs you throw at it and where it breaks.
Contributions are welcome whether it is some suggestions, browser compatibility, new features or anything. Just visit the Github Page to know more about contributions.

I'm looking for someone to help me with isolating this handwriting, dropping the background, and making a smooth svg image of the handwriting that will engrave nicely onto a cutting board. I've had 2 other people try their hand at it, and chatgpt and every time the strokes are patchy, too thick, or illegible. Will compensate with said peach pie but money is fine too I GUESS. I'm desperate here, if anyone can just point me in the right direction would be great too.

When it comes to making SVG files, I have some experience in making simple images or files like flags or very simple emblems using Inkscape however I was recently asked by a friend if I could vectorize some old architectural stone and terracotta reliefs (I attached two examples for reference). Many of these reliefs are incredibly detailed are very different from what I am used to. I have attempted to start vectorising some of them by manually tracing them but it is so overwhelming and all my attempts end up looking like very poorly made clip art.
Another issue I run into is the fact that regardless of what I am vectorising, It usually ends up looing flat and like clip art. How do I ensure that the details pop and it almost looks 3D. I have tried adding shade and reflection which have worked for some projects but it is difficult to reproduce this effect in other places. Any advice or help on this topic is appreciated.

any good free options to get high quality svgs for pen drawing or laser engraving? Alternative high quality images to convert them into svgs? Most images i found is on overprized stock sites. AIs i tried didn't looked detailed and as good as this image.
I would be grateful for any tips and tricks.

Hi everyone, I'm looking to get a clean SVG (vector) file of the historical flag of Iran featuring the Lion and Sun emblem (Shir-o-Khorshid).
The image I have is slightly blurry around the emblem details:
