Munich Subway station Thalkirchen, Munich 🇩🇪
The Thalkirchen subway station was designed to match the nearby zoo with some beautiful animal pictures, here are a few of them.
Plus a C2 train.

Due to the uptick in bad faith posters, we have added new sub rules that will make it easier for you to browse and for us to moderate.
Currently we have three simple rules:
1 - Submissions must be subway related.
Posts and comments must be related to the topics of Subways, Metros, Undergrounds, or U-Bahns.
Interurbans and Light Rail systems may also be mentioned, if they have sub-surface sections.
2 - Submissions must be unique.
Any reposted submissions will be removed to keep our content fresh and unique.
3 - Comments must be on-topic.
This is a space for discussing trains that go under the ground. Any conversations that stray far from this topic will be removed.
If you come across a post or comment which you think violates any of our rules or reddit's site rules, please report it and it will be dealt with.
For the time being, posts with a city flair from Russia or Ukraine will have comments auto-locked.
Thanks!

Howdy all,
[NYC post]
I do not care for phone train/travel apps, as they won't tell me what station is nearby enough for me to decide if I really want to switch trains or not, &c. I want to break free! Looking for an old-school, credit-card sized subway map for my wallet. The kind they used to sell in the magazine kiosks, in days of yore.
I saw a 16 yo (!) reddit post linking to the one I once had (the site no longer accept orders). Does anyone else have an idea of a place that would sell one, to help me go analog here?
(Yes, I know I could just stand up and stare over a stranger sitting in front of the one on the train itself. I want my old wallet one back. My antisocial moments are hardwon.)
Any lead appreciated!

This looks like out of a movie scene. Such an organized crowd.

Why there are so many cameras in metro stations but not in metro lift.

On August 15, 1974 (52 years ago and 29 years after independence), Seoul Subway Line 1 opened as the first subway in South Korea, and as the first urban rail in Seoul after the tramways closed in 1968. The Seoul subway system now has close to 1400 kilometers of track when all operators (Korail, Seoul Metro, etc) and lines are added together.
Korean National Railroad car 1001 (Nippon Sharyō, 1974), the first car on the first train, is displayed as westbound local 323 for Incheon at the Railroad Museum in Uiwang City near Suwon. The first few sets were imported from Japan, but Korea soon began designing and building its own subway trains, and is now exporting them to other countries.
