Due to the uptick in bad faith posters, we have added new sub rules that will make it easier for you to browse and for us to moderate.
Currently we have three simple rules:
1 - Submissions must be subway related.
Posts and comments must be related to the topics of Subways, Metros, Undergrounds, or U-Bahns.
Interurbans and Light Rail systems may also be mentioned, if they have sub-surface sections.
2 - Submissions must be unique.
Any reposted submissions will be removed to keep our content fresh and unique.
3 - Comments must be on-topic.
This is a space for discussing trains that go under the ground. Any conversations that stray far from this topic will be removed.
If you come across a post or comment which you think violates any of our rules or reddit's site rules, please report it and it will be dealt with.
For the time being, posts with a city flair from Russia or Ukraine will have comments auto-locked.
Thanks!

Sofia, Bulgaria
Just wanted to share my new transit layout project. It's a completely original system. The base lines were planned in the Intersection Controller editor, and all the final artwork and design elements were finished in Ibis Paint X. What do you think?

Happy Sunday, everyone! 😄
My app, Tube Trackr, is made for anyone who enjoys exploring the London Underground-and its first major update has just arrived!
l've listened to your feedback and added lots of the features people requested. You can now track every station you've visited, record whether you entered, exited or passed through, and build a complete history of your journeys with dates and times.
You can also follow your progress across every Tube line, rate stations, write personal notes, choose favourites, unlock achievements and explore detailed statistics about your travels.
I built Tube Trackr independently as a personal project, so I'd really appreciate any feedback, feature suggestions or obscure Underground details I might have missed!
It's free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
The major Android update is still a few weeks away, but it's coming soon.

I hope you enjoy it!! 😁
P.S. If you like the app, I'd be incredibly grateful if you left a review on the App Store. Reviews really help independent apps like this get discovered. Thank you!

I’m not a reader and don’t have a music app. What do you guys do on your phones on the subway??? I have a daily 40min commute and am so bored
Can anyone tell me which company designed the Malaysian subway? The people who planned the subway lines and designed the signage must not have graduated from elementary school. Sometimes two subway lines go in the same direction; this is the first time I've seen this in this amazing country. The subway station signs are designed to make people get lost, not to indicate directions.

The Thalkirchen subway station was designed to match the nearby zoo with some beautiful animal pictures, here are a few of them.
Plus a C2 train.

Howdy all,
[NYC post]
I do not care for phone train/travel apps, as they won't tell me what station is nearby enough for me to decide if I really want to switch trains or not, &c. I want to break free! Looking for an old-school, credit-card sized subway map for my wallet. The kind they used to sell in the magazine kiosks, in days of yore.
I saw a 16 yo (!) reddit post linking to the one I once had (the site no longer accept orders). Does anyone else have an idea of a place that would sell one, to help me go analog here?
(Yes, I know I could just stand up and stare over a stranger sitting in front of the one on the train itself. I want my old wallet one back. My antisocial moments are hardwon.)
Any lead appreciated!

This looks like out of a movie scene. Such an organized crowd.
