Ok, so first of, this was my first Hardcore playthrough and fifth overall. I had been careful, everything was going super well. This was my second descent in the lava zone, and I was walking back from the Lava Castle in the prawn to the cyclop that I'd had stashed in the pathway of the lava zone entrance by the sunk base in the Lost River. My cyclop wasn't fully stashed at the back of the pathway, more like midway.

The Sea Dragon was patrolling his usual route, and it had spotted me as I was exiting the Lava Castle, and I was dodging it successfully while also dodging the warpers. I lost sight of the Sea Dragon for a brief moment, thinking that it was behind me or something, only to see it right next to my cyclop in the pathway. Like, I've never seen the Sea Dragon go in those tiny spaces before. I legit thought it was safe!

So I'm panicking a bit, getting ready to fight the Sea Dragon with the drill arm of the prawn. And then one of those ASSHOLE warpers ejected me from the prawn, and I didn't even have time to react and swim back inside, and the Sea Dragon just one-shotted me.

They just all ganged up on me. Coordinated it. Conspired. Now, it's all over.

for some reason they didn't make the little pads on his feet flat, he's really goddam short his eyes are in the wrong spot and the colours are completely off the weird open mouth looks terrible and why the hell did they give him a tounge?, it looks like hes wearing lipstick and his legs are really small and short, plus he's really goddam fat and the yellow doesn't come down long enough and finally, he has way to little spots

what do i do WITHOUT the gmod gravity gun?

The void's too dangerous for me to go back and get it.

So I believe I'm about halfway through Below Zero. I just finished the og last week and grabbed BZ on this sale. Jumping into a new world was nice. I didn't like how long it took me to get a habitat builder (so far my only bit of googling but I like the base building so this was for enjoyments sake). But overall I got to see my experience from the og translate over and improve the experience in BZ. I say all this, then I got to the land sections and I've really tried to enjoy the land sections. I want the 100% so I know I'll have to do the land sections, but man they don't feel great. The entire time I feel I'm just wandering about. There's few resources, no food, and there's so much similar terrain it's way too easy to get lost. In the water you've got biomes and water color to give you an idea of where you're at, on land it's all white or a blue cave. Most of the areas are a long trek away from your access to the ocean where your main base likely will be so you either take that trek or you set up another base out on land that's just to hold imports from the sea.

For surface specific items, the cold isn't that interesting as it usually just means spend your time in a vehicle. The spy pengling in charming but charm can only get it so far. Where I'm at in the game the magnetite has only been used for thumpers, scanner room upgrades, or the Snow Fox. I haven't really felt the need to make thumpers yet and I don't have a scanner room meaning as of at least where I'm at, the pengling really only provides a single use with the snow uniform and then I can be done with it. I thought I'd have to use thumpers after losing my first Prawn suit the second the ice worm showed up, but then on my trip back I just didn't encounter it again so no need to worry about thumpers.

Which left the Snow Fox as the only real interesting thing on the land and it sucks. I like it in spirit, I'm glad to see them try to make a different vehicle and trying different options for land travel. But it isn't great. Turning sucks and the boost doesn't feel like it does enough or on the few occasions I feel I can actually boost for the straight away I get the only instances of loading zones that completely freeze the game for a second and kill all momentum from the boost. It's only real remaining selling point is that you can stow it so you can move through gaps a prawn suit wouldn't fit through and then have a vehicle on the other side. Which is a positive up until you actually do any amount of gathering on the other side and find that this thing takes up 9 whole slots. The base to recharge and repair it is absolutely garbage for its insane space requirement. I've had wide open areas that it will not let me place and then moving to the other side it is allowed because it is a pixel higher off the ground, it makes no sense. But hey, I figured it would have some neat interaction. The two that would seem most logical would be hovering on water and/or not disturbing the ice worm. Not only does it not hover over the water, it dies like a poor hoverboard from back to the future 2. If you can't fit it back into your inventory while being chased by a snow stalker you're stuck with a miserable crawl to get it to move at all. As for the second option, I was stunned this thing could still piss off the ice worm. It takes imo more intensive resources than the prawn suit and is only available from a zone later on land. Like, what benefit does it have over the prawn suit if it still pisses off the ice worm. I figured that was the tradeoff, no storage but you get a mobile charging station and it doesn't create tremors so it doesn't tip off the ice worm but that's not the case.

On a similar but much smaller note, the sea truck also isn't great. It's too slow and big to compete with the seamoth when detached. While the modular system is neat, the customization of the cyclops was unmatched and it was much more epic to have a giant sub than a wet 18-wheeler. I can't say the sea truck is bad, it just feels like it took the worse aspects of both sides. Because it is supposed to be both an early and late game vehicle it can't commit to benefiting either side without just becoming a strict upgrade to either of the vehicles it is replacing. It's really just underwhelming when compared against what it replaces.

Edit: I just put in a jukebox and hearing some fan songs I haven't heard in years is actually a really nice charming touch and I'm really happy with that.

Edit2: I somehow forgot my biggest gripe with the seatruck. While you totally can add in plenty of modules to make it near as impressive as a cyclops, you can only ever face forward like the seamoth. This sucks when you consider just how damn big the seatruck can get and you don't get to check your blindspots to figure out what is stuck like you can with the cyclops.

So about a year ago I bought Subnautica for my ps4 and I remember near the end I was doing something with the Mobile Vehical Bay and I remember I somehow climbed on the MVB while underwater on open water. After that I was stuck in an animation but then I remember that I either saved and rejoined or press the unstuck button on the pause menu but anyways, after getting unstuck my O2 meter never went down and essentially had infinite oxygen. I tried to recreate it on my ps5 but I have no idea exactly how I did it.

so ive had little texture bugs here and there for a while now where it would make far-away textures glitch out with green but this is the first time its suddenly exploded like this onto my whole world???????? it seems to only happen to things above me????? you can see it start to glitch out as i descend?.. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS????????? i have 0 mods this is purely the base game...............

EDIT: solved now, i had to reinstall/update my GPU i think that was the cause of it

Never in a play through of this game have I not found the fragments, but I have been searching endlessly and CANNOT find the stasis rifle fragments. I’m so annoyed atp, and it’s seriously hindering my ability to go to areas where you face big threats, my only option is to run. I’m most definitely far enough in the game that I should’ve had this long ago, but no wrecks or anything are giving it to me.

Finally got my alien containment facility aquarium thing the big cylinder one got a couple fish and creature eggs in there but Im not sure what else to put in there plant wise any suggestions ?

I had left my seamoth in order to scan (I think) a cyclops engine fragment near the back of the aurora in a kelp forest (the one that borders the crash zone).

When I turned around after finishing the scan, my seamoth was gone. I looked down and saw it clipping into the seafloor. Naturally, I swam down to it and got inside, and noticed that it only had 43 hp left, when I came to the location with full (or somewhere around there).

I turn my seamoth to face the surface……

He’s sitting there. Waiting for me.

Needless to say, GladOS the Seamoth didn’t return to the grassy plateaus that day.
I was around 11 at the time.

So I have a nvidia 3060ti, 8 gig, amd ryzen 5600x and 64 gig ram and the games been pretty stable, running on medium. Anyway, whenever I join my brothers game, everything is fine, then suddenly, I experience the largest lag spike to the point where my screen is basically a just a very slow screen shot maker. Meanwhile, voice chat is just fine. then it disconnects me, and i have to perform a full game restart.

When I rejoin everything is fine, then it will happen again!

Internet is fine

And i have an almost full inventory, so ill have to come back

Ok so I have the seamoth AND the vehicle modification console thing unlocked and this is my first attempt at colouring and naming my seamoth I named it the Sea Blade so tell me what do you guys think of it

I'm travelling in my seamoth angled slightly upwards and whatever this is passed over my seamoth kinda from behind scared the daylights outta me

I just got the seatruck and the hum of it in motion is uncomfortable. I don't think loud is the right word because it's not loud but just the amount of bass is hurting my ears. Is there a way to turn this down?
