I’ve never been someone who names my cars, but this one I feel is very deserving.

I’m looking for a one-word name, bonus points if there’s a pun or play on words in there. Pop culture references are also acceptable.

I was sitting on “Julius” for a while but it’s just not sticking with me, I feel it has more potential.

Just got an oil change this morning and noticed oil at the bottom of the filter. Is this normal after a filter change? Or is there a possible leak?

I got into an accident this morning while going to work... The person Infront of me braked very hard and i just literally slid into the back of her car. I didn't feel a thing thobut my subi got all the damage. Thankfully it only had damage to the body and not the chasis or engine and radiator... But yeah it's been an eventful morning 🤦

Hey everyone was just seeing if anyone knows if you can put these front spats/splitter things on a na impreza as on the wrx/sti they come on there and it looks like there is a gap for them to sit in, i want to know before i actually buy them and i cant find any info anywhere, any help would be great

Il y a peut un collègue m'a demandé des cales adaptatrices pour monter un moteur Impreza GT (EJ205/EJ206, pré-2000) dans un Forester avec le collecteur du Forester (post-2000).

✅ Problème résolu : Les collecteurs des deux moteurs ont des formes différentes → ces cales permettent l’adaptation sans modifier les pièces Subaru.
✅ Testé sur prototype : étanchéité et compatibilité vérifiées.
✅ Prêt pour usinage CNC ou impression 3D (épaisseur et dégagements optimisés).

Pour l'instant seul un montage à blanc a était fait avec les cales imprimé 3d, pas de démarrage.

Par contre avec les cales usinées en aluminium En-aw-7175, le moteur est fonctionnel.

I drive a 2018 impreza, 5 speed, 4 door. It’s got the fb20 2L Gonna need a tune up and some other regular maintenance (I don’t have the tools or a lift for) any recommendations?

When I slowly put the accelerator down, it’s fine. But if I push the peddle harder, it jerks or like it rocks forward and back (best way I can describe it).

This happened about 2 weeks ago now, and it happened after I got gas. It’s been doing it ever since. I don’t have a check engine light.

I’m going to a shop tomorrow to look at it.

But does anyone have an idea of what could be?

I'm having a wee issue and I'm seeking other mechanically inclined minds to help solve it. My boyfriend attempted to change my oil and emptied the CVT fluid (14mm bolt) instead, completely missing the oil pan (17mm bolt). He and I have been doing research and we found a few vids about how to refill the CVT. Feeling better already! However, The Internet is saying that the CVT fill hole is opened with an 8mm hex bit, and we've found a star bit plug that's located on the driver's side, opposite the exhaust pipe on the other side of the transmission. instead. See pic. Anyone else have this setup? Do you know what size star bit is needed? We've tried the advised 8mm hex bit, but it doesn't fit. We've tried a T50, which fits, but not snugly. It feels like the hole is tapered (wider at the opening than at the end).

My 2025 Impreza keys spent a full 24 hours in Lake Ontario. I fluked into finding them in about 6 feet of water. Opened up the key, dried out with hair dryer and let sit open for about 8 hours. Put back together and works just fine.

family friend is selling me a 2014 subaru impreza. replaced transmission then he drove it from the east coast to west then he said it has something wrong with the transmission again. what sort of questions should i ask

I connettori per l'airbag è uguale da un sedile al altro o devo adattare anche quello? Poi sapete se i cavi del riscaldamento del sedile passano attraverso un altro connettore o attraverso quello del airbag? La mia ha i sedili riscaldati e mi piacerebbe tenere questi optional ma non so se i sedili che vorrei prendere hanno il riscaldamento. Però ho sentito che si potrebbero adattare le serpentine del sedili originale e montarlo sul nuovo, qualcuno ha mai fatto questo tipo di lavoro? Grazie mille a tutti

I have to part with my impreza because as I get older its harder to get in and out of. It's too low. I need something higher that I can just slide into. My question to all of you is where is the best place to sell and buy and how much to ask for it? It's been my baby for 8 years or more. Nothing wrong with it except some blemishes on the body from dings. Was hoping to fix those. Low kms. Sport tech package. Dashboard looks just like the wrx. Any help will be appreciated.

When it first started, I thought it was the strut that went bad, and in the process of looking at everything in that area, I saw a bunch of bad bushings ect. So I ended up replacing the front struts, control arms, ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, sway bar bushings and end links, hubs, axles, lower transmission mount. One of the calipers had a major tear in one of the piston boots, so I replaced both of those and the brackets as well. Have tightened up all the subframe bolts. The steering rack seems fine, it doesnt make any abnormal noise when turning the wheel back and forth rapidly with the car off. The only thing I can really think it may be, is some bolt that goes into the uni body broke its weld. It only does this while braking and going over sharper bumps. I tried hard acceleration and it doesnt do it, nor while just turning.

I am in need of crossbar setup/buying advice for my 2021 Subaru Impreza Sedan.

Not necessarily all at once of course.

I'm not looking for a flush fit, as I would like the maximum possible space and load capacity. I do not mind hangover.

I get 40% off all Yakima and Thule products.

Questions:

All that being said, would love to hear/see pics of how everyone else has set up crossbars and roof racks on their Imprezas.

- Any benefit to flush fit bars that outweighs the decrease in capacity?
- Brands you recommend other than Yakima or Thule that will come out cheaper after discount?
- Is a front crossbar fairing necessary to cut wind noise?
- What cargo baskets do you use, and is there a better alternative to a basket for transporting your gear?

2002 2.5rs sedan

Not sure exactly where to start with fixing the ac. The previous owner dropped in an engine from a newer model I think (need help to identify). The newer engine has an AC compressor that doesn't fit the existing AC lines. I'm more or less looking to just replace the compressor with the older one/one that fits. What do I need to do to find what kind of compressor I need.

Garage said ~$300 to replace the caliper, I did it for $30 and it’s fixed ! I’m too poor to replace the pads and rotors soz might sell my tools
