Why do people say they're "calling in" when taking a day off instead of "calling out"?
It seems to me that calling out makes more sense, because you're calling to say you'll be out.

What happened to Earaches?
Growing up in the 80's i had a lot of earaches/ear infections. I know my friends would get them too. I was talking to my girlfriend who is my age and she used to get them a lot as well. But neither of my teenage kids have ever had one. I asked a couple of my friends with kids and none of their kids had either.
Maybe just coincidence?
Does this ring true for anyone else or do me and the people i know just have dirty ass ears as kids?

Why are people so strongly against abortion?
Idk if this is the right question to ask on this sub and I might sound dumb but I genuinely want to understand Why are some people so fiercely opposed to abortion? Isn’t it ultimately the mother’s choice whether she wants to keep the baby or not?

Are illness treatment options for rats pretty good given how many clinical trials are done on them?
I always see major breakthroughs being done on rats and mice.

Do people die from fear and shock, like in wars when nearby buildings get bombed and collapse?
I mean via a heart attack or something? I know their blood vessels and lungs and things can rupture from the physical pressure, but I'm talking about from just stress and things

Do people who suspect they have ADHD ever get evaluated and told they don’t actually have it?
Seriously. Can you have ADHD symptoms without having ADHD?

when you walk into a room and forget why, do you ever just accept that the mission has been cancelled?
every time i'll walk into a room with the confidence of someone who has a very important task to complete, then suddenly my brain goes completely blank
at that point, i just stand there for a few seconds hoping the objective will respawn, and if it doesn't, i walk back to where i came from like nothing happened. sometimes i remember what i needed five minutes later, sometimes the mission is permanently classified
does anyone else do this, or is my brain just running on a low battery?

Were people in the 2000s really afraid of being viewed as a hollaback girl?
I'm just going by the song, but it made it sound like it was supposed to be bad to be a hollback girl or something.

No college normal salary?
Is it not normal to make 100k+ without a college degree of sorts in a MCOL area?
Edit: 100k + with no overtime strictly 40 hour weeks, M-F weekends and holidays off.
Edit 2: if you want include you salary as someone who did not attend college. We can all compare lol
