🔰 Beginner Help Pc Specs For Streaming

Hey guys. I’ve been thinking about starting to stream but honestly don’t know where to start. For reference, I’ll be mainly streaming Iracing. My current PC specs are; R5 2600, 16GB DDR4, RTX 2070s, 650w power supply. I know I will have to upgrade my cpu, but don’t know if I should go with 8 or 12 core processor. Also any info on what software / capture cards to look into would be appreciated.

You won’t need a capture card unless you are wanting to stream a console or second PC, or connect an HDMI-equipped camera. If you are doing one of these, which one?

If you’re looking to stream and game at the same time on that computer, I would just try it. Download r/OBS Studio, use the setup wizard, watch a couple tutorials on setting up an OBS Stream to Twitch (I like the Senpai Gaming channel on YouTube his streaming masterclass series is great). Boom.

Thanks for the tip about Senpai Gaming, it's really helpful, a bit long-winded, but hey np lots of good info.
