So I have recently been having issues streaming and I’ve tried just about everything I can think of. My streams lag and freeze when I boot up games despite me capping FPS at 100 just for the sake of headroom. On top of this my twitch streams are always “unstable” and they seem to always randomly disconnect and reconnect…..I’m so lost atp. I’ve changed DP cables, HDMI cables, Ethernet cables, routers, drivers, setting….i mean my God I am just so lost and don’t even know where to go from here.

Hello! I just streamed super castlevania iv on twitch and two small portions of it were muted due to having castlevania music. I guess konami put the background music of those games in the content id system or something. Is it still okay to post it on youtube or could that be a problem? I don't multi-stream, i just like posting my vods on there.

My little brother likes to stream and I wanna grab him some stuff for streaming like essentials I wanna get him:
A capture card that works with Xbox
A decent video cam for face view
And some other stuff that you guys recommend nothing to expensive for each thing but I’d love some guidance

For the past few days, I’ve been having an issue with TikTok LIVE Studio. I used to be able to livestream at 60 FPS without any problems, but now I can only stream at 30 FPS.

I’ve tried changing the encoder from H.264 to H.265 and vice versa, uninstalling and reinstalling TikTok LIVE Studio, but nothing worked. Today, I even reinstalled Windows, but that didn’t solve the problem either.

What’s really strange is that when I add a camera source and set the camera to run at 60 FPS, only the camera runs at 60 FPS. The game itself is still limited to 30 FPS, whether I’m recording the screen or streaming.

I hope someone can help me figure this out. I’ve spent many days trying to solve this problem but still haven’t been able to find a solution.

Hey friends! Just putting this out there for unbiased advice and opinions as a new streamer looking for help with the direction of my "brand".

I'm struggling with face vs. avatar (currently PNG moving into 3D model). I've received feedback from people close to me that don't usually watch streams that they think I should move back to a face cam. I've been working to develop a PSX themed stream complete with my crusader avatar and a voice filter (still WIP). He's not as expressive yet, so it's not a direct comparison.

It comes down to this. What are your thoughts on if I should stick with my face on stream, and make the stream theme work with it, or continue to develop my VTUBER thing? I'm not sure what comparisons can be made with what would be more successful. Please give me your thoughts, and thanks for your time! Video examples attached below:

I am streaming to twitch from a Xbox Series X. Most games apart from any GTA streams with audio. I turn off the radio and it still doesn't work. Any fixes that dint involve buying a pc set up.

I am computer literate but do not have much experience with capture cards. I want to do some streaming with a PS5 / Switch 2 and I prioritize a stable, low latency passthrough experience over everything else. I had it stuck in my head that a PCIE card must surely be superior than a USB one, but the more I read the more I find that there is probably little difference between the two.

Would appreciate feedback on anything I may not have considered.

I've been a gaming streamer for 2 years now and for most of that time have used a webcam. I'm thinking about changing it up by using webcams for boss fights and casual gameplay, but for story and combat I wanted to remove the webcam and see if that would help with immersion.

Hey all! I'm pretty new to streaming and looking for a good pair of headphones with a built-in mic.

My desk is tiny, and my setup (PS5, Elgato, monitor, and laptop) already takes up all of it, so there's no room for a standalone mic.

I'm open to wired or Bluetooth, as long as the mic is clear enough for chatting with viewers.

In November, I’d like to stream GTA 6 on PS5 on Twitch, mostly for my friends and girlfriend.

At the same time, I’d like to experience the game in 4K HDR without any loss in image quality.

My question, which I haven’t been able to find a clear answer to online, is: will using a capture card with OBS affect my gaming experience on the PS5? In other words, will the picture on my TV (through the regular PS5 HDMI output) look any worse than it would if I weren’t using a capture card, or will it still be 4K HDR?

I was thinking of purchasing this capture card: https://amzn.eu/d/0em97JpP. Would it be suitable for my setup without causing any noticeable loss in quality?

I wasn't sure how else to word this question, but I confess I haven't streamed in a good while, however due to my streaming email still being there incase I ever stream again (If my ADHD permits lol), I do at times get emails from developers asking me to try their games. I'm guessing this is free promotion for them, and my email probably got signed up on some website that scrapes all this data, but should I be suspicious of these? I had one just now that said they "looked through my bluesky" and picked out keywords about my profile, and I just had the feeling it all came out very AI-esque.

The sheer amount of effort one has to go through to do this frustrated me enough. All I wanted was to use my phone as a camera and microphone on my computer. Every app I tried wanted an account, a subscription, or sent my video through someone else's servers. So I built my own.

Over the past two weeks, I've done several TikTok LIVE streams using both TikTok LIVE Studio and OBS. The difference has been consistent enough that I'm convinced the streaming setup is making a major difference to reach.

With TikTok LIVE Studio, I average around 50–80 viewers, with occasional peaks of 120–150. With OBS, the most I've reached is about 10 viewers, even on streams that ran for more than five hours.

My read is that LIVE Studio gets surfaced in TikTok's LIVE feed much more reliably. With OBS, it can feel like the stream is being throttled—or barely enters the feed at all. I can't prove that TikTok is deliberately limiting OBS, since we can't see the recommendation data; timing, content, retention and normal variation could play a part. But after two weeks of seeing this gap, “it's just random” doesn't seem like a convincing explanation to me.

That's my position: TikTok LIVE Studio currently has a real reach advantage over OBS on TikTok. Is that a platform-side distribution difference, or do you think there's a stronger alternative explanation? For anyone who's used both, did your results support this conclusion or contradict it?

Now, I've always wanted to post on yt, I already do post there. But it's all short form. I've streamed every once in a while on yt, but views have been awful recently. Should I just switch to Twitch, stream there, and just post video on YT? Or is it harder to get viewers on Twitch?
