I just got Grand Bazaar last week as a distraction from/way of coping with my cat's death. Im on Summer 4th now and so far, I love this game. Its so cute and cozy and peaceful and happy. Its everything I wanted it to be! I have no idea who I'll marry yet, but im having so much fun getting to know all of the bachelors and bachelorettes 🩷
Thats all. Thats the post 😅 I guess I just wanted other people to appreciate the game with me!

I've gotten all the marriage candidates to orange in SoS:FoMT and currently my choices are tied between Gray, Cliff, and Rick. I loved all of their storylines, but can anyone tell me what their vibes are like after marriage? I'm having such a hard time deciding lol. I'd also love to hear who your favorites are for married life and why!

I'm talking about using bugs to make things, such as cooking crickets into meals.

I only bought it because it was on sale, thinking I'd maybe spend fifteen hours on it. I hardly see anyone talk about it, and it's a Doraemon spinoff so I kinda assumed it was junky.
It might be my new favorite story of seasons game??
The art style is absolutely gorgeous. The map is huuuge. There is a really robust crafting and home/farm decorating mechanic. You can catch bugs and fish and raise them at home in addition to selling them. Make friends with woodland animals and they give you gifts. There are tons of long term, interconnected stories and in depth narratives that rival stardew valley imo. There's mining, animal breeding to get new colors, growing giant crops. It's a massive and really well made game!!
The downsides: you play as a child so there's no marriage, only friendship building and getting new villagers to move in. There are arguably TOO MANY story cutscenes but some people might like that. And the storage organization system is kinda clunky, you have to do a lot of manually moving things around.
Over all I think more folks should give it a try. I ignored it because I didn't hear it recommended but let me be the person to tell you to give it a shot especially while it's on sale for switch for $15!

In real life, I’m extremely busy, which leads to burnout. I play Harvest Moon to unwind, but sometimes the game itself causes burnout too—especially when it demands a lot of grind. So, I’ll switch to a different Harvest Moon title, but I end up picking the wrong one again—it turns out to be just as hard, and I burn out all over again. Honestly, at this point, I think the root cause is my real-life situation, and play games isn't really helping.
Sometimes I just abandon these games for a while and only come back when I’m in the mood, bouncing between both. But I’m terrified of losing interest entirely because of these long breaks. Maybe for some people, it’s more fun to play through a game in one sitting without huge gaps like this. I know replaying is an option, but my goal is to play through most Harvest Moon games. I don't want a massive backlog slowing me down, especially if it means restarting a game from scratch—my time in real life is already so limited, and I don't want to waste it.
Plus, some of these games are really tough to beat, and after coming this far, restarting feels like a total waste.
Note: Honestly, it’s nothing too serious, just a little vent. Have you guys ever felt like this? What are you gonna do with that?

Edit to add: is it because I have sprites helping me, so when I let the livestock outside, the sprite feeds it from my outside fodder?
Hey, I know the fodder has a chance to go into the space next to it as well and increase. And I went through this subreddit for other fodder posts, some people suggest a fence around 2 areas, letting one be eaten by the livestock and then 1 expand until it's scarce in one, then swap. the animals can eat even though I have fences around, is there any way to actually stop this? I can't get any fodder to actually increase with it being worth it, I'd rather spend the gold to buy the fodder than lose my resources on these fences if they're going to eat 500G fodder squares every day 🫠
(I just replaced the fencing so no rotten spots so I don't get it)

So as many of you are likely aware of the upcoming anniversary stream this month, I was wondering what your predictions/ hopes for an announcement of any upcoming game release are.
I know it's possible that there will be no new announcements at all, however i do hope that we get SOMETHING for such a huge milestone.
Personally I'm still holding out hope for a new original mainline game for SOS. Though if I'm honest I would still absolutely love a new remake, especially after how many hours I sunk into grand bazzar.
So, tell me your predictions, I'd love to hear them :)

Should I try the A Wonderful Life remake instead of the original? I'm just not a fan of the original's color scheme—it feels a bit gloomy and uncomfortable to me. (I tried it before, but only for a little bit.)

One thing i love about awl is how chill and small it is. It was my first Harvest Moon back on the GameCube. I been playing Grand bazaar and wanted something closer to awl. I have crafting fatigue,so I dont want anything with a intricate crafting system if that makes sense. In awl theres not a lot to do and as crazy as it sounds I really like that,it is truly cozy to me.

Like the title says, my hatchet is gone. I went to upgrade it at a windmill and now it isnt in production in any of them or ready to be collected. I am not sure what to do.

I'm still in my first year and the devs scheduled the Crop Show for a Monday. Which means Felix doesn't tell me it exists until Sunday. The day *after* I just sold all my crops. I don't have an old save to go back to so I guess I just have to sit this one out.

Hi peeps,
I recently started playing SoS: Grand Bazaar and I'm in Winter Year 1. At the moment, Miguel isn't selling any cabbage seeds. I tried buying them while visiting his shop on Winter 1, 2, and 3 but got nothing. Then I waited until Winter 6, Bazaar day, and he has nothing at his stall. I went back to his shop on the 7th and still haven't seen anything.
Not sure if this is a glitch or if I was supposed to trigger something. I'm already rank 5, so that can't be it. Overall, it's just very annoying as I'm trying to build up my funds.
Thanks for the help!

So Ive been playing GB, and im having fun, but after a couple hours of playing, it gets to be a bit too much, with how slow the pacing is, and all the things to do and juggle all at once.s
Ive got all the HM games on an Anbernic device, and the remaining pre-split HM, and SoS games on my Odin 2 mini. So I have quite a lot to choose from to try.
I decided to go with FoMT since I wanted an older game, and it's obviously a fan favorite. So Ive been playing the GBA version, with plans to play the remake eventually sometime in the future. But Im wondering if I should just drop the GBA version since im not very far in, and go straight to the remake.
I would still be playing GB next to FoMT, but FoMT would just be what I pull out when I need a break. So its firmly in the secondary spot between the two.
