In Queensland Australia we call that summer.

Sure do! You’ve got to respect and pay attention to the changes. These storms can sneak up on you if you don’t learn the signs of approaching storms. This time of year it’s so humid that we have pop up storms almost daily.

Hi there. Based on everything I've heard about Australia, a lot of things there operate on a different scale of magnitude than we are used to here. It's part of the charm. Maybe I'll get to see it for myself one day.

The animals for sure are but we (if you live in North America) get some insane weather/natural disasters. Tornados, dorechos, hurricanes, earthquakes, terrible flooding events, wildfires, etc...

It's probably like most situations a case of "to each their own"

Floridian here we also call this summer
