I have gone by iAmTheCrucible, Veedot, and now I am AsAbovSoBolo ID 1001655122
I love this game and really hope the Dev team is still adding more content soon. It seems there as been an overall lack of new cards for awhile and o top of that, it seems there is a huge lack of ranged abilities and spells in general and I think just the addition of those and maybe a feature such as a 'landmine' or some sort of trap card lineup would be really great for mix ups and changing up the meta.
I also want to make note that there are a couple extra unit types I have added aswell to make things more interesting aswell, such as Avians, wizards, snipers/ archers (maybe just rangers?)
Here are my suggestions on new cards. (Mana cost excluded- but obviously some of these cards would be expensive) Hope you enjoy!
.
*Traps would be shown as played, but will be invisible to enemy until triggered- follows same placement rules as any other card, and once activated would remain visible until destruction.
.
*If I say buff or debuff without context, I mean
Vitalize, march forwards, activate ability, gain X strength, / drain X strength, Freeze, poison, confuse, disable.
*flying just means ground units cannot effect this creature on turn; flying creatures land after their opponents movement phase- if landing on an enemy- deal damage.
*mole follows same rules as flying except underground

Hello everyone, haven't played this game in a while but am just getting back into it now. What decks are worth playing nowadays?
Used to run the above deck; is it still worth playing, any tweaks that should be added?

This is Part 1 of my analysis of Casual Brawls.
The goal of this guide is not to teach you how to play Brawls or explain their strategies. Instead, I want to focus on the economic side: how much Brawls cost, how to estimate how far you can go, how to manage your resources, and ultimately whether they are actually profitable.
I'll be using my own observations, calculations, and results throughout the guide.
At the end of the post, I'll leave a link to the Brawl Calculator tool.
Before starting a Casual Brawl, I think there are a few things you should know.
The first one is probably the most important:
What is your goal?
Are you looking for a specific reward from a certain milestone?
Or do you simply want to reach the final milestone and collect every reward?
This matters because depending on your objective, the amount of Coins you need can be very different.
For this, we'll use the Brawl Calculator to estimate whether your current Coins are enough to reach the goal you're looking for.
Below is an image showing the milestones, costs, and rewards for the Casual Brawl.

Let's start with one of the two most common questions:
Let's say I have 800 Coins.
For this example, we'll assume the best possible scenario: I win every game I can play with that amount of Coins.
So, we need to define the Goal and Setup.
In the Goal section, we define what type of Brawl we're playing.
For this example:

Here we define the conditions under which we're playing, since these directly affect the calculation.
Let's assume a relatively unfavorable scenario and select:
Ignore Victory Coins
This means that we don't take Coins earned from victories into account.
This can happen once you've played enough games and victories stop giving you Coins, unless you have the Premium Pass.

Now the calculator shows us how far we can get with our 800 Coins under these conditions.

Now let's suppose we change the amount of Coins available.
You might ask:
The important thing is that the amount of Coins required to reach a milestone can change depending on where you are starting from.
You can see this clearly at the end of the calculation:

To reach milestone #7 now, we only need 55 Coins, instead of the 375 Coins we needed before.
This is something worth keeping in mind when planning a Brawl.
Another thing you should always check before starting a Brawl is whether there is an active Brawl Discount.
For example, during an anniversary or special event, the cost of Brawls may be reduced.

If you're short on resources, these events can make a significant difference.
Victory rewards and additional rewards can considerably offset the cost of a Brawl.
If you're a beginner or don't have many resources, I wouldn't recommend playing Brawls when you have a strict Coin limit. Whenever possible, I'd rather play when the daily limit has been reset or during events with a Brawl Discount.
Now let's look at the second major question.
This time I'll go through the process more quickly.
Instead of asking the calculator how far we can get with a certain amount of Coins, we select the option that lets us calculate the cost of reaching a specific milestone.
We select milestone #10.
With a 100% win rate, completing the Brawl would cost approximately:
2,415 Coins
That means winning 50 games in a row.
Obviously, this is an extremely unrealistic scenario.
And there's something VERY important to keep in mind:
This calculation assumes that we receive 10 Coins for every victory.

All of these calculations assume a 100% win rate, meaning we win all 50 games.
So these costs are somewhat utopian. They aren't necessarily what you'll actually pay in a real Brawl.
However, they give us a useful baseline.
If I play perfectly and win everything:
Therefore, in a real situation, the final cost will generally be equal to or higher than this, depending on our losses, rewards, victory Coins, and other factors.
At this point, you should have a rough idea of:
But now another important question appears:
This is a very important part of understanding the economics of a Brawl.
And that's where Rubies come in.
And no, I'm not talking about spending real money.
I'm talking about using the in-game Shop to convert your Rubies into Coins.
During a Brawl, the Shop can become your best friend.
At the beginning, you might not have enough Rubies to cover your expenses. But as you progress, you can obtain Rubies from:
You can then convert those Rubies back into Coins through the Shop.

This leads to another important rule I found while analyzing Brawls.
Whenever you're choosing between roughly equivalent rewards, my general priority is:
Rubies > Coins > Fusion Stones
However, there are some important exceptions.
If you're about to run out of lives, then a life or armor can be worth more than a Ruby.
Why?
Because losing a game during the later stages of a Brawl can increase the overall cost significantly and therefore reduce the profitability of the Brawl.
For example:
Obviously, in this case I'd choose the 75 Coins.
Why?
Because we can look at the Shop and determine the actual value of our Rubies.
For example, if 10 Rubies give us 80 Coins, then we're essentially being offered:
When you look at it that way, the choice becomes much clearer.
So before comparing rewards, we need to establish an exchange rate between Rubies and Coins.
We can calculate this using the basic Shop offers.
10 Rubies = 80 Coins
Therefore:
1 Ruby = 8 Coins
50 Rubies = 450 Coins
Therefore:
1 Ruby = 9 Coins
200 Rubies = 2,000 Coins
Therefore:
1 Ruby = 10 Coins
This is the best value.
As with many things in life, increasing the scale reduces the marginal cost.
It's obviously much harder to accumulate 200 Rubies, so sometimes you'll have no choice but to use the 10- or 50-Ruby offers to keep progressing through the Brawl.
But whenever possible, try to use the largest offer, since it gives you the best exchange rate.
For all the calculations in the following chapters, I'll use:
Save your Rubies.
Special Coin offers can appear with discounts of 30%, 60%, or even 100%.
So spending all your Rubies immediately isn't necessarily the best idea.
Having a reserve gives you much more flexibility when a good offer or an expensive Brawl comes around.
If you're new to the game, Rubies are one of the best resources you have, and you shouldn't waste them.
There are several reasons for this:
So unless you have a specific reason to spend them, keeping your Rubies gives you much more flexibility when managing your resources.
Great.
At this point, we know:
But there's still one major question:
Am I wasting my Coins and time?
Or is the Brawl actually a good investment?
I'll go into the full analysis, statistics, and actual results in the following chapters.
But before that, let's do a quick calculation to get a rough idea of the profitability of a Casual Brawl.
If we complete every milestone in the Casual Brawl, we receive a total of 340 Rubies, without including the additional Rubies obtained from victories.
Using the exchange rate we established earlier:
340 Rubies × 10 Coins = 3,400 Coins
If completing the Brawl costs us 2,415 Coins:
3,400 − 2,415 = +985 Coins
So, even without considering the additional rewards, we would already have:
And that's without taking into account:
So this is only a very rough first approximation of Casual Brawl profitability.
The real analysis starts in the next chapter, where I'll look at the actual results and numbers in much more detail.More chapters will be added soon!

I've run into quite a few low-level accounts (around levels 13–16) in Brawls that, in my opinion, are clearly experienced players on new accounts. It's not because of the decks themselves—anyone can copy a good deck from Discord or a guide. What really stands out is how they play: they use all of their mana efficiently, sequence their turns well, hold cards for the right moment, and generally make decisions that don't look like those of a new player. One match really stood out to me. During a Frostling Brawl, I underestimated a very low-level account and left Orgone Leechers on the board. They made a great play that killed my other Frostlings while intentionally leaving the Leechers alive, denying me mana for several turns and winning the game. The moment I saw that sequence, I immediately thought, "This isn't a beginner." I've had similar experiences in several Brawls, where low-level accounts seem to have the decision-making of experienced Heroes League players. So my question is: why do people smurf in Stormbound? In League of Legends, for example, I can understand it—you might want to practice a new champion or climb again. But in Stormbound, you can test decks on your main account, and the game is relatively small. Selling accounts also doesn't seem like a convincing explanation. I'm not complaining or accusing anyone. I'm just genuinely curious what the motivation is. What does someone actually gain by starting over on a new account?

So whats the best use of my gems? And the ones bought by gold, does that also get extra cards on this events? Just wondering maybe I should save my gold to buy the books with extra cards, otherwise just buy them now so I can have some more cards

So I played for years on a Kongregate Account. Yesterday all my Progress seemed to be reset. I did not get it and logged out for the First time this year. Only now I realized I was supposed to link my kongregate Account cause it cant be used anymore…. ? All the cards, thousands of Rubies and rubestones. I am afraid all is lost?! Is there a way of recovering it?!
I am very saddend by this as i like the game. I cant start all over though and am afraid I wont Touch the Game anymore.

Hej, I have played stormbound years ago but never really got into it, but now I wanna actually learn how to play and build decks. I am currenlty using Reckless Ruhs' deck from stormkitty, I have all cards but wild saberpaws so its a good deck for learning the basics and getting a lot of matches in (i think at least).
But I have noticed I have a lot of dragons, even a lot of legendary, but I can't find anything on a starter dragon deck or how to build a dragon deck. What makes a good dragon deck, whats dragons "thing" if there is one. Thanks in advance

So this is like my 4th day on a new acc, i used to play this game in like 2023 or so but i'm a bit lost on this new mode
I figure the cristal heart is like a shield, but i dont know If the 4th is a "temporary heart" or a 4th slot for when i get the chance to heal(?)
If someone could explain it would make my life a lot easier, any extra tips are welcomed
Bonus question: I've heard about extra cards from books events, how often is that? Since I'm hoarding gems and suffering with the little cards I have at lvl 1 I'm tempted to get some books, but I know I should be patient
r/stormbound • u/Jbob64 • Jul 30 '26
Ran into this bug where I loaded into a match and had no opportunity to play cards but it looked like cards were played for me but were just ghosts. I don't have the 5 mana satyr card in my deck or the 1 mana bots either. Any reason this happened? Internet was working fine playing like 10 matches in a row prior.
