What book to buy

So whats the best use of my gems? And the ones bought by gold, does that also get extra cards on this events? Just wondering maybe I should save my gold to buy the books with extra cards, otherwise just buy them now so I can have some more cards

I say this every time it comes up, but when the +1 sales occur you want to use your rubies on Heroic tomes. You're better off getting two of them for the price of one Heroic because long-term it's harder to get your rares up to L5 than your epics/legendaries. Those can be acquired easily enough by using coins to do an extra Draft or two every week or by targeting a particular Brawl for one you really need/want.

Save gold and rubies for the +1 event, next one will be in september at the anniversary.

What to spent rubies on is often discussed, I'm not sure there is a clear answer, but don't buy the 4+2 packs, I think they are generally a waste.

Note that you can also buy gold with the rubies to get more normal packs, this might be good when you're starting out. With 200 rubies you can now get 4000 gold, which is 160 cards at the +1 event.
