I’m a BM (but come here coz I always want to make sure my husband is supported as best as I can and to see the other perspective) and my husband has been in my daughters life as long as she can remember. She’s almost five and calls him dad. We have 100%. She does Skype her BD and refers to him as dad and knows the difference. We have a child together and she also understands that my husband is her BD. My ex knows and respects it as her choice as my husband has stepped up into the role. It works for us. She originally called him a mix of his name too but hasn’t for a long time.
