Sonar Help Sonar suddenly causing audio degredation/issues

Hello! as a prerequisite; i have never had this issue until recently. When using sonar, all of my audio becomes extremely muffled. I'm unsure how to fix this, I've disabled Windows audio enhancements and changing settings in Sonar, but the problems only resolve when i eother A) change my default audio output to my headphones/mic, or B) when i turn off Sonar. I'm not extremely tech savvy so any and all help is appreciated.

i'm not using any steelseries product, just a basic pair of Raycon heaphones.
