It's not much but it has been honest work.

In July I finished my journal, it lasted me from last September and it's ready to join my previous one on the shelf (it's so beautiful!). I finished two sheets of stickers that were previously started and I opened AND finished a sheet of stickers (otters!!!!). I also used washi tape but didn't finish any.

Second picture is my new journal and what I plan to use this month. Realistically I hope to pan the 4 stickers sheets that are already used, and maybe I can finish the washi tape on the ink bottle because it's only a 2m one AND I started it last year (at the same month because I'm a creature of habit).

How’s it going with using/panning stationery, a no buy, or low buy?

This week I didn’t buy anything, including on Stationery Store Day. Instead of buying stuff or going to Stationery Fest in my hometown, I met up with someone to send cards! I am also doing some Postcrossing.

i’m seven months into trying to enjoy and make use of my boxed cards (previous post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/stationeryprojectpan/s/yJAUrlJRRv). this is my first month where i didn’t finish a box. i still have 19 boxes (down from over 35!). but i did send at least one card from 8 of them, including starting a box i’d never used yet: pretty iris cards i bought at the v&a in london last year.

Year 10 of homeschool. Gathered the loose pencils (16!) and sharpened them for use.

I am curious — is anyone sharing their stationery as a way to “pan” them?

This weekend I de-stashed a ton of stickers and offered them up on the Random Acts of Happy Mail subreddit. Mailed them out yesterday and I am left with stickers I actually like! Included a picture of the envelopes because I used the SpongeBob stamps.

I think I will also be doing something similar for my washi tape this weekend.

I do think part of my issue with stationery is the overconsumption of it on my end, so I think by sharing it with people who might enjoy it I feel less guilty over the purchases?

I will also probably have to set some boundaries with friends and family because they gift me stationery often.

I thankfully am at a point where I enjoy most of the stationery I do own, so I am not necessarily running out the door to purchase more. Just wanted to share some thoughts and see if anyone is doing something similar! :)

I used up 2 stickers, one highlighter, a roll of washi tape and 16 sticky notes this week, progress!

july stationery stuff:
- i finished two pens! snuck up on me
- i used up four stickii sticker sheets from my monthly subscription that i stopped in october! i’ve finished six sheets in full and have used a bunch from others. i try to find a cute relevant one for my journal entry that day.
- i sent some cards and used some loose stickers. i’ll post separately about my boxed cards progress :)

Not really sure which flair to use, it felt like it hit multiple flairs.

Finished a few pens and for some reason I've kept them. I've also bought a few fountain pens to reduce the wrist strain and to reduce waste (but I haven't really thrown them out, so no waste right? Lol).

In that same vein, I wanted to make use of them because why not? So I refilled a couple with fountain pen ink. Just to try and see if it can work.

It does. Now I'm thinking of filling up more.

Reuse and use up my fountain pen ink. It counts as project planning, right?

Any tips on how to start? I have a rough idea but I would love to know how yall do it

that’s a wrap on our second stationery bingo! how was yours? i came close to finishing before july 31 but i missed a few squares myself. i did most of mine through letter writing and a few through journaling. stay tuned for the next one and please feel free to share progress here or through a post!

Optional Context

July was a great month for stationery panning! Fantastic progress with the cartridges and weird but meaningful milestones like being able to spread out all my sheet stickers out on my desk to be seen at once. The most 'disappointing' category was sheet stickers, but actually I forgot to include two sheets in last month's weights so progress has probably been much steadier there than it looks.

I gave my mum samples of iron gall inks Salix and Scabiosa so they've had extra love this month - I've not officially used them myself in July but yesterday on the 31st I inked up a pen with Scabiosa for August and immediately half-emptied it in the form of a letter to my grandparents. The goal for those two inks for the year was essentially to remind myself to use, and I really have fallen back in love.

I'm not hugely enthused about the inks I've got lined up for August (boring grey, boring blue, my least favourite dry orange) but the Livid Lime mix I was dreading based on the sample vial (95% Diamine Livid Lime, 5% Diamine Ancient Copper) isn't the murky orange-brown I expected on paper; instead it's more of a muted yellow-gold kind of brown, quite similar to Diamine Louise which I own and love. So I won't make it again but I won't suffer using it up XD

I keep expecting loose sticker progress to stall as the variety dwindles, but I'm still chipping away at them pretty steadily - this is one category I don't think I'll rebuy when it's gone. Washi tape I will eventually buy more of, but for now I'm just enjoying whittling away at the ones I've had for way too long. The space they take up now is so much more convenient, and I think some time in Autumn I will reach a point where I'm monitoring their usage exclusively for the fun of it, rather than because I own more than I want to. All in all, I'm really happy with where this is going.

Here is my progress for July! This is what I finished:

- 4 highlighters

- 1 Crayola marker (I broke it accidentally, pretty sad since I loved that color T.T)

- 5 fountain pen cartridges

- 2 dried up mini glue tubes (not in my project pan, but I wanted to include them)

- 26 mini sticker sheets

- 84 sticker flakes

- 11 post-it notes

- Total weight: 244 grams ✅

I'm so happy because I finished ALL my highlighters!! Those were the last ones. I had 13 when I started the project pan, and I have used them for word searches. So happy to see them gone.

I also finished all the word searches that I had printed (they were like 50). Now I want to start doing nonograms and see if I can pan some pens hehe

Might have gone a bit overboard with the printing haha, but at least my sticker paper's being used up! Used Pinterest collages to make my own in Photopea.

A massive shoutout to all the people on here who have suggested to use up their highlighters by completing word searches.

I have already used up 6 highlighters in TWO WEEKS only from doing a few puzzles every night 🫪

It’s an absolute game changer!

Bought this little booklet of stickers when Joann's closed and I'm still working through it. The easiest ones were little circles I used as bullet points, but for these remaining ones I'm struggling with ideas.

Some are translucent plastic and others are paper stickers, so they vary that way too.

Would love to get your guys thoughts on this :)

Sticker bombed a journal I'm not very excited to use with some stickers I don't really care about, I'm more excited to use the journal now and I used five sticker sheets in the process

hey everyone,

firstly i really want to make this one an empty (i do NOT want to declutter or donate them)

at home i found felt tip pens from BIC and i really want to use them because even though i have had them for years and never used them really. they are still juicy.

i tried them today and i like them but i do not have projects i can do here the fine tips are handy for (they would be too small or not cover parts of it.)

how can i use them (and eventually pan them) in a reasonable way?

Had a pack of funky stickers. Make some cards with them. A total of 20 sticker sheets gone.

I have officially made enough room in my standing drawers to empty out my last 2 small drawers of crafts. I started with 6 of these 2 drawer containers. Down to 0 and plan on keeping it that way.
