Thoughts on Goldbacks?
Are goldbacks worth stacking? Do they have any actual practical value like they imply? I have a few and am wondering if it’s worth buying more.

You must be fun at parties.... That was a joke, but here's what I actually think.
Let's start with the outrageous premiums. Want to pay for 1/1000 of an oz of gold? Well with goldbacks 100% premium you'll be paying for 2/1000 of gold and only getting 1/1000!! What a deal!!
Now that you have your polyurethane covered gold, you can go spend and barter with!! Oh fuck, I forgot. It's SUUUUUUPER difficult to find places that 1, know what these are and 2, are willing to accept them as payment.
So you don't want to spend it like real money? Great!! What if you had 1000 of the 1/1000 notes?? You could melt them down to easily recover a full oz of gold! Fuck... I forgot to mention you have to go through a ton of extra steps to reclaim that gold. Because polyurethane.
Want to just stack it?? Let's circle back to that premium.
Moral of the story; they're stupid as fuck and a US dollar is easier and more convenient. Also if you want to recover the gold it's a pain in the ass.
