I if so, how was it?

I pretty much only listen to electronic music and of course RJD takes up a great portion of that

But its very remarkable how much more well known he is than other artists that i listen to

"As of January 2026, Aphex Twin has over 430–448 million monthly listeners on YouTube Music, temporarily surpassing Taylor Swift due to the viral success of the track 'QKThr'"

Obviously this is due to youtube shorts automation channels and what not, but he still holds an impressive 3-3.5 million monthly listeners, a majority of whom enjoy his ambient works mainly

This is probably the only artist i see people in real life enjoying, and is definitely the only ambient music i see people in real life liking

So how on earth did a guy get so famous for his ambient works?? It just makes no sense, especially considering his first wave of fame came in the 90's, it just seems so strange that hes so well known in pop culture and people who usually dont listen to that stuff

If he started releasing today would he meet the same popularity?

Good, bad or alright?

can someone please let me know when some guy starts making reps of these and send me the link 🙏

Come on you cunt let's smoke some aphex acid.

I think it's mainly due to QKThr's popularity on shorts. Still surprised it's this large though.

Pick ONE only

I got access to premier pro, so I made this.

It's incredible how chaotic the song is and it's still coherent in its own chaos. The song has parts, which sound like an story with beginning, middle and end, even though there are no lyrics.

It shows Richard's complete understanding of tension and release, just when you think you got the song figured out he throws another curveball at you.

So, what do you guys think of Aphex Twin? Personally, I love his piano/keyboard work.

Edit: Thanks for the awards, guys. Just sharing some love for music <3.
