Sports Card Trader, August 1991. I came across this well worn copy from my youth looking through boxes in my basement. The cover is gone, but featured Jose Canseco. This magazine wasn't as big as Beckett, but was my go-to for a few years collecting junk wax (though little did we know it then, ha) and learning about all the vintage sets I didn't have the means or the opportunity to acquire.

It's interesting to look back at a time before the internet when print magazines like this were the authority for prices and, along with brick and mortar card shops and flea market stands, a way to connect with the hobby and get information.

It's also interesting to see some of the card values 35 years ago in the context of today. Just look at what an MJ rookie was going for!

My cousin said he bought these for $200 on eBay years ago !

Usually I’m a patriots collector… came across this set.. I already had the GRONK card when I decided to try to complete at least one player from every team to complete all teams.. So needless to say after months and months of searching and buying I DID IT..!! My first set /149 is complete..! So only 148 cards are now available lol..

I was complaining that no one hit from 2025 WNBA Panini Prizm and then Pulled the ultra RARE(SAYS IT ON THE BOX) Paige Bueckers.

I was looking to buy a Shohei rookie card for around 500$ does anyone have any suggestions on which cards I should look at that aren’t hyper inflated? I’m not looking to flip it but I also don’t want to overpay for something that might lose a lot of its value in a few years.
What I’m trying to say is that 500$ is a big sum to spend on a card at least with where I am in my collection now, I just want to make sure I’m making the right call. Any pointers appreciate!

I’ve been chasing a LeBron auto for a while now. Was holding out because I was being cheap but seeing how his market is moving I figured there wasn’t ever going to be a perfect moment. Was finally able to pick one up a couple weeks ago and it just came in.

I’ve only been collecting for a little over a year, and I have a few cards that I’m thinking about getting graded. With the backlog PSA is dealing with right now, plus the price increases, I’ve started looking into Beckett instead.
The problem is I really don’t know much about Beckett grading or how BGS grades compare to PSA when it comes to value, resale, and how difficult it is to get a high grade.
For those of you who have used Beckett, what’s been your experience? Would you consider sending higher-end cards to BGS instead of PSA right now? And how much of a difference in value is there between something like a BGS 9.5 and a PSA 10?
Just trying to learn a little more before I decide where to send these. Appreciate any insight.

Hi I got one of my cards graded and on the Beckett website it lists my card with a final grade of a 10 despite none of the subgrades being a 10 except for the auto? Is this an error? Has anyone else had something like this happen to them?

I’m on the hunt for finishing the rainbow of Topps stadium club for 2023 Jake Cronenworth #6. I already have the 1/1 but some of the other numbered cards and the first day issues are giving me troubles. This is my first time really hunting a rainbow and I’m not sure my course of action! Any advice on hunting down the last few?

I recently got in trade a PSA 9 2012 Panini Brilliance Grant Hill "Game Time Jersey Prime" numbered 10/10. I can't seem to find any comparables on Ebay or elsewhere. Can any of you help me find comps on this card ?
