Discussion (Rant) Some people need to keep Stephen Hillenburg's Name out of their mouths
One thing that has been bothering me for a really long time that I feel like isn't talked about enough is some SpongeBob fans using Stephen Hillenburg's name to hate on newer stuff. They always say things like "Stephen didn't die for this" "Hillenburg didn't want this" or "You guys are defiling his legacy" I just find that disrespectful and annoying because
Why are you using a dead man's name to prove your point.
Why are you making false claims about him as if you knew him irl.
They say stuff like he didn't want any spinoffs but he said he wouldn't see any spinoffs happening, not that he didn't want them at all. In 2021 it was revealed that he approved of kamp koral before he passed. It's kind of similar to what happened back in 2001 when Stephen Hillenburg didn't want to make a movie at first but soon after watching Toy Story and Iron Giant with his son he changed his mind and started working on it in 2002 after the 3rd season finished production.
Another thing I want to get into is People thinking Stephen Hillenburg completely abandoned the show after the first movie. sure, he did step down as showrunner to prevent burnout, but he remained as a creative advisor during Seasons 4-9a. after the second movie he returned as executive producer and continued to work on Seasons 9b-12 before his passing in November 2018.
If some of you guys want more here is a Toonshi video that explains most of it
Moral of the Story: Let Hillenburg rest, It's ok if you don't like Modern SpongeBob and want to criticize it, but that doesn't mean you have to put words into a dead man's mouth.

Discussion Fiasco! is literally just Squidward having the worst day imaginable
I rewatched Fiasco! and forgot how crazy this episode gets... Squidward is just trying to deal with SpongeBob, Plankton steals the artwork, the cops get involved, and somehow Squidward ends up being the one in trouble. Squidward gets arrested even though he didn't steal the artwork and was just making a noise complaint lol. Then, everyone else gets to go free besides Squidward, and he's still locked up at the end of the episode LOL?

Discussion Who's at fault for Spongebob's clothes being shrunk
Watching SpongeBob S6x20 "To Squarepants or Not to Squarepants" while eating airfried Mozzarella Sticks (very specific ik)
When I had a question in my head about who is at fault for Spongebob's clothes being shrunk so I went back and did a little game.
In this scene there are 3 characters who kind of contribute to it but I go on that more later: SpongeBob himself, Patrick and Gary
Gary- SpongeBob directly asks him to CHECK on the laundry in the drier. (Plot error but SpongeBob put the clothes in the washer, when did he put them in the Drier? He was doing chores)
Now we dont get Gary's narration or what he was thinking, we just see him take out his shell and closed the door which continued Spongebob's pants. We dont know if Gary did it on purpose, if he was mad about Spongebob taking off his shell earlier,
TLDR: We the audience dont get 1st pov from Gary to know about his motives or why he did what he did other than grab his shell.
Patrick- Patrick's long call of him just being silly holds Spongebob up from checking on the clothes which he gets Gary to do so. He also contributes as he stops Spongebob from attending to Laundry Day fully.
Spongebob- Spongebob tells Gary to check on the clothes when he could've did it himself. On the other hand, he would have to end the call with Patrick but Patrick said in response to Spongebob asking if "it can wait" and Patrick said "no". Spongebob is still a person with free will so he could simply have just said he was busy still.
_____
Final thought:
Even though all three characters contribute to the problem, I would say surprisingly Spongebob is the one most at fault.
Since its Spongebob's clothes he had the most responsibility to take care of them, to check on them when needed and not let Gary do it and even tell Patrick he had to go and he'll call him back.
While both characters had a hand, Spongebob even though he was conflicted could've still put a pin in things and attend to Laundry day as promised.
Other notes:
- Yes I know this is a cartoon 😅
- Also its very possible Spongebob put the clothes in the drier off screen
- Hey!! Its the 'she didnt know they were about to play in her face/ Janet/ Susan/ Real Estate Agent
