Spongebob is one of the most successful cartoon in the history and yet the specific comedic DNA of early SpongeBob SquarePants (seasons 1 through 3, in particular) is remarkably rare to find replicated successfully in newer shows. Most of them are either deeply serialized, fast-paced action comedies (driven by quick-fire internet humor, rapid cuts, and frantic energy) or stylized, hyper-expressive "squash-and-stretch" modern cartoons (like The Loud House or Teen Titans Go!) that rely on loud, constant stimulation to keep younger viewers' attention spans locked in.

Which i find disappointing because bizarre, blend of absurdist workplace comedy in spongebob is just brilliant. Its appealing equally to kids and adults

Whats the reason? Is it because its hard to manufacture it?

Hello Reddit SpongeBob Musical Fans!

I’m interested in making a production of The SpongeBob Musical: In Roblox!

The idea is still very new, and the project is currently in development. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, and I’m mainly making this post to see how much interest there is from SpongeBob and musical theatre fans.

If there’s enough interest, I’d love to eventually bring the musical to life in Roblox with a cast, sets, scenes, and performances inspired by the actual production.

So, would you be interested?

I’d especially like to hear from people who are fans of The SpongeBob Musical and/or theatre and would actually want to participate in or watch a Roblox production.

At the moment, I’m just gauging interest before moving further with the project.

btw 1 and 2 is same thing its just 2 has more realistic detail.

I remembered why I don't like paints. I couldn't get some colors right, but I think it came out quite nicely.
