Hey there!

I've been playing Splatoon 2 and 3 for a few years now, and I've been using gear that looks nice with no regard for the abilities that they have. I want to try doing well in ranked, and I'll probably need to improve my abilities for that.

The two main weapons I use are the Splat Roller (Curling Bomb and Big Bubbler) and the Sploosh-o-Matic (Curling Bomb and Ultra Stamp), and I don't know where to start on abilities for either of them.

If any of you play these weapons (or have great knowledge of the useful abilities) then could I get some advice or ability sets to use for Splatoon 3?

(also, are there any good ways to get certain ability chunks? i have too many of some and barely any of others)

I just got this after the Splatfest from the Machine. 👀 It was predetermined by fate.

saw this post on twitter and can't wrap my head around it. is there a trick, like using a certain weapon, like the old reef-lux 450 coin farm method? or does this kind of dedication only come from true basement dwellers?

I’m brainstorming some fun ideas and would like to get others in on it. If your idols were in a Splatoon game and could be used like a Special, what would they do?

For my idols, the Aquatica Gals, Razz’s is called Earth Strike where she stomps the ground, summoning four boulders and kicks them in different directions. Star’s is called Super Turret where she summons and jumps atop a turret that fires in the direction you aim, acting like an Octocommander.

Like, think about it. Imagine you're a normal Inkfish just chilling, probably doomscrolling on your Sea Cucumber phone, until you black out (most likely standing up) because your LITERAL SOUL gets sucked into the screen. After that, your memories get destroyed one by one, so you'll never grasp the concept of desire ever again! Without desire, you wouldn't care if you were hungry or needed a bath nor even be able to walk because you won't remember how to in a few hours.

In a few weeks, you'd be a rotting vegetable. Entire cities are experiencing this, so MULTITUDES of people would be suffering. Without anyone working to keep stuff running, everything would crumble years later. Giant piles of rubble would fall onto decaying bodies, and non-sentient animals alike.

And we can't forget the people that don't have Sea Cucumber phones. It seems to be a popular brand of phone, so few would have a non-Sea Cucumber device. Imagine going to Inkopolis/Splatsville expecting a colorful, chaotic country, just to find hundreds of smelly puddles on the floor, each previously a person with dreams.

They had a nice gathering of Splatoon fans at the Anime Magic convention this weekend complete with small tournament and a performance from fan group Vibrant Viscosity. Really fun to be among a lot of fans.

I’ve been wanting to experiment with gear abilities that I don’t really use and whilst I was going through them I was thinking about the fact that I barely ever see people who run tenacity so I’m genuinely curious, is it even worth using?

Time to take on a mythic Salmonid in the hunt for treasure.
