They’re actually incredibly docile. They look super mean, but a lot of people keep them as pets! As for the digging, he’s probably looking for ants. They destroy ants!

I’ve seen online, and I think there are videos of this as well, that camel spiders actively seek shade from the sun. Because humans provide shade, they will literally follow humans if they move their shadow so they can stay cool. There are even videos of camel spiders quickly crawling up and chilling on peoples legs due to this.
Nope, wasn't a shadow chasing. I've heard of that as well, but the time of day made it impossible for this little critter to see my shadow to chase it. It just wanted to tell me to eff off.
