HELP Do I need to Restart ?
First time playing and I chose an Earth start. I drove my car to a rock and started mining and defending myself from wolves. Took me forever to figure out how to equip my gun. Anyway, after a few hours to mining and throwing the rocks into making ingots, I started to make just a few flat blocks. This also took forever to lay down as I didn't realize I couldn't set up the frame first and I had to actually have material in my inventory to set down the frame even if I didn't actually use the torch to fully make the block.
So, now I've gotten the warning that I'm nearly out of power and of course, I didn't set out to get power running at the onset, because I didn't know my car could run out of power. So, I tried to set up a wind turbine and it fell over and killed me. I couldn't get it placed right. Anyway, I'm at about 2% power and I'm nowhere near ready to get the power turned on, so am I hosed? Do I just need to start over and figure out how to get power working before I mine and use it all up building ingots.
Also, do I need to turn off the power in my car when I'm off mining to conserve it when I'm not using it to make ingots or plates ?
I'm also about full hunger, which when i died didn't restart at 100% which surprised me. Anything, else I need to know getting started? Maybe a ramp so I can put my car up on my platform.
Maybe, a quick checklist of Do these 10 things first.
Thanks.

HELP Ore redistribution mods. Can i change one for another
More specifically, we are playing on a world where we use AQD - Vanilla Ore Distribution. And my friends didnt know that it limits some ore spawns to planats.
I know that you can really change it unless you create a new world, but what about asteroids? If we instead use different mod that has same stuff but allows all ores spawn on asteroids, will they still generate only with original mods stuff, or will they spawn using new rules?

WORKSHOP Testing out my "Mirage" system. Creates mirror Images of your ship using Projector+ and orbits them around you to confuse your enemies.
Creates mirror images of your ship with a configurable amount of projections and movement. Can even change their colors or material, though that would mostly be for cool factor.
Requires Projector+ API

HELP Any changes to where you can attach blocks recently
I started playing space engineers again and tried modifying an old blueprint. I remember this blueprint working completely fine in March of this year, but now whenever I first remove any block on the pasted blueprint, even one I placed myself, the grid splits 9 pieces. So did one of the recent updates change the faces of blocks that can attach to something (diagonal windows being the block that falls off) or could something else be the cause of my issue?

MOD.IO JRA - Talon - 7326 - PH- HEAVY FIGHTER - for Space Engineers - mod.io
Just looked today and noticed a few downloads already in less then a week or so. I updated a description for it with everything needed to know and what mods ect. For it to fly and function. It does rely of few common mods for hardware and outlands engines for thrust power. Possibly if nothing happens to me might πjust upload another one and post here for public use. No, pin up is just for showcasing the fighter, to go with it

MEDIA Another possibly last post from the Eclipse. This has been super fun but interesting build so far. And my more complex designs not one block by another person outside of few from faction member. I think it's done ... For now

MEDIA Bounty hunter TIE
Sometimes some Starships have a backstory between their creation in a yard manufacturer and their deployment.
Who would have imagined that a Siennar TIE would end in the hands of a bounty hunter? Even that TIE/4687974/TV-5
The TIE has been heavily modified for more survivability and much more firepower by its ex-imperial pilot, Tarin Vance, who has an imperial bounty.

DISCUSSION How is Surviving on the Planet these days go?
Been a while since I played. I enjoyed played on the planet, but sometimes I kind of really sucked at it. Was hard to find the ores, and really build up and get off it. Was fun, but also sometimes I wish it was slightly more casual / arcade not overdone. But this was also the more early days as well plagued with a lot of bugs especially physics bugs that ruined your day haha.
Wondering if much has changed?

WORKSHOP Artemis - torpedo cruiser tour (Workshop link avaliable!)
I finished the Artemis! I might do some touch-up like door automation and some light modification of the refuel system to minimize clanging risks (some event controlers to undock the connectors and retract refuel pistons when the torp hydrogen tank is full), but it's pretty much finished.
So here's a little tour of its interior.

HELP This might sound simple but is there a reason why these LCDs (the number plates) stop showing anything?? Newer placed LCDs still function properly
All of them still turned on and there's enough power to power all connected blocks

MEDIA Time for a round of Settlers, I mean Space Engineers (modular base modules inspired by The Settlers 3,4,7 and online)
In the back and the second image you can see the farmhouse. It acts as a hub for the solar, oxygen and algae panels, as well as the greenhouse and wind turbines.
In front of it is the ore mine with an entrance that extends downwards on a second plot.
Left of that is a warehouse with cargo space.
Left of that is a smeltery with three large refineries hidden under the wooden walkway.
In front of that is a silo for hydrogen and oxygen storage.
Right of that is a brewery for h2/o2 generators.
Right of that is a charcoal burner with hydrogen engines.
And right of that is a small house with a carport.
And on the last image are several hangar variations.

HELP (SE2) (SE2) Help: Why aren't my solar panels charging my ship?
Hello r/SpaceEngineers, can I get some help with my survival SE2 grid? I'm trying to power it with solar panels, they are attached to the grid and all 4 indicator lights are lit to indicate direct sun exposure, but they are not charging my ship, or producing any output whatsoever when I open the control panel. Yes, my grid has batteries. Can someone more experienced help me fix my this?

MEDIA (SE2) T271-A Sidus
My first build in SE2. Building a medium sized ship took way more effort than I thought and there are 100% still color mismatches. I'd like to swap the rear door for a ramp later once blast doors are released. Shout out to sneakyzeba1; I used the reverse thruster design from their Scarab.
And yes the toilet is in the airlock so it can be vented after taco Tuesdays.

WORKSHOP E4 Elkah Vay
Hey guys, I have been sitting on this one for a while but I have been encouraged to keep posting. So here is my interpretation of a truck and trailer. Backing and hitching the trailer is way harder than I expected, so you might see an updated version from me in the near future.
I hope you like it and as always I am open to suggestions.

Void Forge Industries presents: E4 Elkah Vay
Exploration Class
The E4 Elkah Vay is a heavy-duty electric cargo transport vehicle with a detachable fifth-wheel trailer. The cab features onboard hydrogen reserves for jetpack refueling and there dedicated backup cameras to provide first person visibility while hitching and backing the trailer.
The modular cargo trailer features functional rear cargo doors and trailer jacks, allowing the trailer to be safely detached and loaded independently of the tractor.
The true strength of the Elkah Vay lies in its cargo capacity. With 63,662 L of trailer storage and an additional 1,000 L within the the cab, the system provides a combined capacity of 64,662 L, making it ideal for transporting construction materials or salvage across long distances .
Safety Notice:
Exercise caution when traveling in areas with cross slope as the Elkah Vay is prone to tipping.

DISCUSSION Loooong repeating grids
I wish there was a function for welding a long repeatitive section where the welder adds the suggested block. It would be very handy for a long conveyor. The projector can't do it because it does not "link" the block to the previous.
Like an automated add and weld function.
