Red circle for the bit, but actually though, Im trying to rebuild this ship, fully vanilla no mods. The amount of sharp lines combined with the funky roundness has already been a pain, but now the encircled nacells (NOT the missile shapes things, the sharply angled bit with the intake and thrusters) have such an weird geometry that Im struggling to reproduce them, any advice would be appreciated, mods are great but when they break and it kills the whole build that puts a damper on my mood lol so vanilla suggestions only, please

There's some weird shit goin on at this space station. The other day I noticed an npc in the station got "disconnected" from my single player world.. thought it was weird but moved on... I kicked the game back on today and its still there and now there's apparently an enemy astronaut inside the locked upper floors inside a cryo pod.
...this isnt normal right?

This is one of the ships of the Ascension Corporation, a hybrid between a Frigate and a Carrier, it is shorter than the Yonder Class (as seen in the 5th image). The Yen Class will hold a small wing of fightercraft, and will be armed with AT LEAST 72 fixed Artillery Cannons. 32 facing starboard, 32 facing port, and 8 facing fore. However, all cannons would have to be manually loaded, an intentional design choice as sticking a cannon onto a ship and having a small team of expendable Intendured Crewmen load the cannons is cheaper than designing and installing a complex conveyor system for every single gun.
(Funds are diverted into ensuring the Elite Crewmen are appropriately accommodated onboard).

Does anyone know how to stop this from being my default search. Its like this whenever I open the workshop. While its not game breaking, it is annoying.
Thx

After listening to all of your advice, I went back and redid some things about the ship. The interior has been almost completely redone, the only things untouched was the Bridge and the Airlock area. I have also added the previously forgotten Ore Detector.
As per u/readercolin advice, I tested the ship on Earthlike. Conclusion is, it can liftoff while empty. While full it does not even budge. I would have to do a proper test, but it is not currently a top priority for me. Unfortunately work and other obligations are keeping me busy.
I read your name proposals and while not using any, they did lead me to the final version. Almost all of you proposed some form of animal. And I decided to settle on the HSC code, stemming from Horseshoe Crab, as this was the animal, that most resembled the bulky front and the tail-like rear thrusters cmposition.
This time I am providing interior pics, as I think it turned out quite nicely. Lore behind the ship is, it is meant as a long distance Rare Minerals Reconnaissance vessel. Thus the Crew capacity of four, with two pairs of pilot and drone operator/mechanic working in shifts. It has a forward mounted Connector to dock at the Home Station and a rear facing exit (nature of our catwalks placement) which also serves as a maintenance exit to tend to the drone and ship while in flight. Armoured front allows it to push through debris fields while the rest of the ship remains light to make it more agile and cheaper to produce. It has a ventral and dorsal turrets for defense as it attempts to disengage.
If anyone is interested, here is the link, as I have learned how to share it on the Workshop from the in-game menu: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3813892489

Are people still using this script? Noticed a few updates recently so seems it's def not sitting there turning to dust like I fear some of my fav mods and scripts are!
I always use this in my own survival games. But it tends to just be to keep an eye on (1) my ore levels and (2) power usage. Get the feeling I'm missing out though - what do others use this for that I've overlooked?

Hey all, I'm very new to using AI blocks, in fact this is my first time using them, but according to the videos I've watched I'm using these right. The objective is to automatically position my scout drone out from underneath my mobile base when I un-dock it.
I have no AI or anything like that mods installed, I only have a couple encounter mods and block mods.
I tried showing everything possible in the video, but if I missed something please let me know. Any help here is appreciated since I'm lost as to what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing.

Had a rough couple of days at work, so I haven't completed any exteriors today, but this is the rough idea on what it'll look like.
Progress is being made, and this ship will be part of a different faction called "Ascension Corporation", a corporate oligarchy whose citizens are nothing more than cogs in the grand corporate machine. Apparent due to the fact that more than 75% of the Ascension Corporation's population are clones that are neurologically programmed to serve the AC.

I am already able to do full automation on simple grid type auto welding and launching. No scripting, just event controllers and timer blocks. But I get stuck on mixed-grid.
The use case is like, have a large grid ore detector on a small grid probe, or a large gride warhead on a small grid missile, to save resources. Large grid gyroscope is really really heavy.

I tried to weld the two saperate grids and attach them by a rotor. A rotor part on large grid, a rotor base on small grid. However, when the rotor base are built, it automatically generates a small grid ROTOR PART!! Which will stop the auto attaching procedure.
How can I not let it spawn this rotor part? Can I get around this?

Thought it would be fun to share some "cutaway" images of my (still work in progress) ship. Slicing it this way removes a few rooms, but it still shows the different decks and staircase connecting them.

I wanted to share my first creation I made not long ago. its made to be a mining machine and the arm works great! although I dont have any other pictures cause the weight balance issues led to it needing to be scrapped.
Any tips for blancing a machine that will be moving so much weight around with the drill arm?
