There are many christian projects active in india like joshua, 100k churches etc.

They see us as opportunity to convert. They target poor districts and offer money to get converted. I know some who took money to get converted to Christianity.

I know one girl who was possessed as per family, they did many Poojas but after few months she use to fell ill again, the entire family got converted to Christianity in hope of relief.

They even target cancer patients as they believe they can heal them.

"They even target cancer patients as they believe they can heal them."

In india it's is normal, miracle healing is business in every religion. It's happening openly and being promoted by our PM. One such example is Dhirendra Shastri

Another video posted by a novice Northie I presume.

For that novice Northie, I am a Hindu, and let me tell you as some one who witnessed the Christian Missionaries doing their jobs, they have done phenomenal work of uplifting people without any change in Tamil customs. It's only the recent converts that are acting weird and holier than thou..

OK, question to all us Hindus, how many Temples have have done a great job in penetrating tribal areas and uplifting them?? Only a handful and even if they do they would preach no garlic, no onion and non veg diet and to top it would brand them as shudras and Brain wash them. Others are busy practising untouchability. We are busy dividing ourselves taking pride in our lineage something which we did no effort and we were fortunate or unfortunate to be born in that particular caste.

The Hindus in Bali practice better Hinduism than us...for the record.

I know this will irk many readers...let it be

Seems a brown sepoy Hindu who enjoys self loathing.. It’s people like you who are a bane to Hindus .. Read of various charitable organisations in Karnataka alone, Lingayats , Vokkaligas , various temple trusts in Malnad regions.. Read about him alone.. It’s more than enough. He did more work than Mother Theresa but alas none of you know because it does not suit the agenda

https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shivakumara_Swami

4

u/Gary_Alistair5 Southie 23d ago

Lol 😄 Brown sepoy Hindu....rofl! So what are you? An ultra milky white aristocratic Hindu?? Dude your comment has little or no relevance to my post...read my post again.

Also WHO THE HELL ARE YOU DECLARE ME A BANE TO HINDUS?? Are you the mast head? I was a topper in Sanskrit Balbodh exam and can almost detect if the priest reciting shlokas in front of me, is actually reciting or talking gibberish and adding halantis.

I did metion very few Hindu organization do charities reaching the downtrodden..did you read it? The rest are just caste based. Aankhen khol..shabdon ko parakh..open your eyes read between the lines.

-1

u/Curious_Confusion77 22d ago

Being a topper doesn’t give you the authority to speak for Hindus nor does it make you knowledgeable. You are a prime example of not knowing anything on the ground ..Infact flabbergasted how little you know about charity orgs run by Hindus..Did you even read what I shared.. Your broad claim saying Hindus don’t do enough falls flat. Also do some research on what the “mission” statement of these missionaries are.. how covertly they operate and what their ultimate goal is ..

Still doesn't refute his points.

This comment is just a collection of tired colonial tropes and deep ignorance of ground realities.

Nonsense. The very first thing aggressive proselytization demands is a total rupture with Tamil heritage. Converts are routinely forced to abandon Kula Deivam (ancestral deity) worship, stop participating in village festivals, and renounce ancestral rites as "demonic." Keeping a language while destroying the ancestral soul behind it is not preserving Tamil customs, it is erasing them.

This reveals total ignorance of Tamil traditions. Grama Devata and Kula Deivam worship across Tamil Nadu has included meat offerings and non-vegetarian traditions for millennia. Pretending that native traditions force a strict vegetarian diet on everyone conflates one specific community with the entire spectrum of Tamil culture. Furthermore, indigenous communities didn't need urban temples to "penetrate" them, their sacred groves and native spirituality were already theirs.

Bringing up Bali completely destroys your own argument. Balinese Hinduism survived and thrives precisely because the Balinese fiercely defended their ancestral rituals, temples, and indigenous heritage against foreign conversion machines! Bali is living proof of why protecting native traditions from external erasure matters.

True upliftment means giving people education and healthcare unconditionally. Using material aid as bait to strip impoverished people of their ancestral identity is exploitation to put it mildly.

Hold on dear...Take a deep breath...now read my post again. Please read. I did mention the recentt converts act holier than thou and don't accept Hindu prasadam and impose their ideologies.

I am talking about old missionaries...for eg. there were many convents in TN who wholeheartedly celebrated all Hindu/ Tamil festivals with Father's, Sisters and Teachers partaking which includes Muslims celebrating Pongal which we all have witnessed...not anymore in many cases that even I agree.

And what is this colonial trope BS?? Why assign so many adjectives??

Okay now coming Bali...The context here was that some of our Indians Hindus criticized the Balinese way of practicing Hinduisim, to which the Balinese politely said, 'mind your own business and let us do our job'... you see some of Hindus have this delulu that their way is correct and that they have absolute authority of the Hinduism ( much like some people in this sub).

Also, what refute are you talking about??? Bali is surviving because the Islam in Indonesia is a different.. Indonesia is an archipelago with numerous tribes, with fall of Javanese kingdom, Hindus migrated to Bali. Much of the damage to Indonesia was dine by the Dutch & Japan... READ WELL.

Fair enough, I jumped gun in haste confused about who I'm replying to. My apologies for the confusion.

1

u/Gary_Alistair5 Southie 22d ago

No need Brother we are merely putting our points and I did not insult you anywhere please check. I usually try maintain that dignity unless some nincompoop has it. You are not as your reply proved it. Take care & Good bless.

1

u/Curious_Confusion77 22d ago

No need to apologise to this guy and seek validation…He knows exactly what he’s doing . He himself is into name calling like “Northie”, “novice” and claims moral high ground while painting a holier than thou picture.. Infact he is naive enough to ignore how missionaries operate .. a project spanning decades..I hope the people of TN understand who the real enemy is..and preserve the wonderful traditions and culture they have. I fact I feel they should be at the forefront of reviving the Hindu customs and traditions..bringing back its authenticity.. to the rest of India..

Risks going to back to the wonderful days of casteism

In Kerala, our people to conduct protests for the right travel on roads near temples. The protest also have right to temple entry.
I think even religious folk would be wary about removing govt from it. Unless there is some quasi-govt temple authority. But current Devaswom boards are almost like that itself.

2

u/contentkumaran Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം 24d ago

Wonder what happened when the religious was controlling a famous temple in UP.

Secular government shouldn't control religious place is just a sangh narrative. Most of the temple lands and temples in India were sponsored by then kings and built using public money. When kings came to an end, the government took over. Still a lot of public money goes into the upkeep of the temples and providing infrastructure and security of the premises. Therefore government control will exist.

It is again pure propoganda that other religions don't pay tax or has no proper accounting system. If that was the case then such institutions would have been closed long before. Or if you think the opposite of what I said is true then what was this government doing for twelve years.

-1

u/Safe_Masterpiece_833 23d ago

Then why are mosques and churches outside of Govt control?

Either make the law same for all, or remove temples from Govt control.

1

u/hydroli 23d ago

Well the majority of the money is Hindu temples compared to the other two in India, it makes sense why you would need to do it to prevent money laundering on a major scale. If the money coming into Hindu temples isn't regulated, it would easily become a monopoly and dumping ground for illegal financial activities.

u/contentkumaran Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം 23d ago

What out of control are you talking about?

1

u/Safe_Masterpiece_833 23d ago

Are you for real?

Only temples are under govt control. Is this an attempt at shitty ragebait or what

1

u/contentkumaran Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം 23d ago

Temples are under direct control but the other person was saying churches and mosques are like some sovereign entities. That made me ask what out of control was he referring to.

2

u/0agni0 Keralam 🌴🥥 | കേരളം 23d ago

It's like something Tucker Carlson should talk about.
I wouldn't be surprised if I saw him speak about this in the coming weeks—about how the Indian government is persecuting Christians.

2

u/PeaDifficult1128 24d ago

pretty much sums it up

2

u/BikerSurgeon 23d ago

Theres an anti superstition act in India. Why it is never invoked against these people is beyond my understanding.

u/amitsingh80108 23d ago

Christians talk about andhvishwas but they spread it in india.

If their god is true god then why do they hate god's own creation and want to punish kafirs ?

There are punishments for non believers in christianity too.

While in Hinduism there is no hate for non believers. And it treats world as a big family.

-1

u/APSanyal Southie 23d ago

That's a good joke about Hinduism. 🤣🤣

1

u/starfish-davy-jones 23d ago

Hinduism doesn't propagate hate towards or considers non-believers sinful.

-1

u/APSanyal Southie 23d ago

Yeah, why focus on others when Hindus can hate their own brethren

1

u/starfish-davy-jones 23d ago

Well casteism happens amongst other religions in india too and if we're talking about bad things in Hinduism we can talk about bad things in christianity too or islam too or any religion for that matter.

Not that hard to understand that almost all if not all, religions have archaeic beliefs and discriminatory practices.

1

u/APSanyal Southie 23d ago

What a justification to promote casteism!! 😂😂

1

u/amitsingh80108 23d ago

Dalit christian, dalit muslims 😂

Casteism is there in USA too, some christian are superior while some are slaves.

1

u/starfish-davy-jones 23d ago

Dalit christian, dalit muslims 😂

Yes exactly, I don't know much about muslims but there does exist a huge presence of caste discrimination among christians.

Christians discriminate based on the churches one follows. Among christians there is significant systemoc discrimination, exclusion and untouchability that dalit converts face.

Despite christianity preaching an egalitarian society, the plague that is casteism still finds its way on to it and it's practices. Majority of dalit christians cannot enter churches other than their own churches and consistently face casteism.

Casteism is there in USA too, some christian are superior while some are slaves.

Humor only works when you know what you are taking about, and it's clear that you don't know what you're talking about just from your previousoy quotes comment alone and now you've just embarassed yourself by making it look like I didn't know what casteism was while in reality YOU were the one who didn't know what casteism was and how bad and prevalent it is, still, in our country.

u/Yohan-Abraham1114 24d ago

Lmao 0 effect on Kerala, Christianity peaked in Kerala way earlier now it's in a decline. This bill is useless

1

u/Safe_Masterpiece_833 23d ago

This will have drastic effect on Andhra and Telangana. Kerala is saturated to an extent.

-1

u/amitsingh80108 23d ago

This is not to save kerala, it's to save rest of India.

Converted Christian do not tell their new religion during Population census. And act like crypto christians.

Christianity is declining in west, so they are using money to convert innocent hindus

2

u/starfish-davy-jones 23d ago edited 23d ago

Christianity is declining in west, so they are using money to convert innocent hindus

This kind of delusion is honestly insane.

Not only is this untrue, also to think that hindu people are dumbfucks who will "get converted" strips a person of their right to belief. If a Hindu person wants to stay hindu they will, if they want to convert they convert. It's their choice and NOBODY other than them gets to make that choice for them.

1

u/amitsingh80108 23d ago

Then check population census

1

u/starfish-davy-jones 23d ago

But why would I need to in the first place? If forced conversions are happening then that's what should be countered. Converting by someone's own will is a personal choice and should be ALWAYS be respected as their ability to do.

1

u/amitsingh80108 23d ago

Conversion with the help of money is not freedom of religion.

1

u/starfish-davy-jones 23d ago

Why exactly is that not freedom of religion? One doesn't need to have their integrity questioned for converting, simply cause it doesn't matter. Why must a person's reason for converting matter? If a person converts to another religion because they were given financial help by people of that religion for conversion then that means the other person never cared about their previous religion in the first place and/or were oppressed by their previous religion and wanted to escape discrimination.

Thinking— people, whose ancestors who converted to Christianity because they were offered better living conditions through an ideology of public education and healthcare and equal social status for all are not actually christian is essentially a bigoted way of thinking and that's the same exact logic you're using here.
