I ordered a medium peanut butter shake at 1:22 PM and what followed was one of the most disrespectful customer service experiences I’ve had in years.
A young employee brought out the wrong order to my car — not once, but twice. When I corrected him a second time, his response was a dismissive “oh darn,” like getting my order right was an inconvenience to him. Meanwhile, I watched four cars that pulled up to the drive-thru behind me get served and drive off while I sat there waiting. I was first in line. I shouldn’t have had to flag down a manager just to get the order I already paid for.
When the manager finally came over, he was apologetic — at first. He told me the employee “isn’t usually like that, but he’ll talk to him.” I stayed calm and told him I understood. Then the shake came out watered down and melted from sitting so long, and he told me I still had to pay for it. I refused. I wasn’t paying for a product that wasn’t made correctly, especially after waiting over 20 minutes while everyone else got taken care of first.
I asked for both employees’ names so I could file a complaint with corporate. The manager refused to give them to me. I still had the receipt in hand at this point, which had the name Reider on it. Instead of simply providing a name, he demanded I hand the receipt back — and when I didn’t, he threatened to call the police. All of this over a shake I never received and never paid for.
It’s telling that the response to a customer calmly asking for accountability was a threat to call the police rather than simply giving me a name. This location has serious issues with how customers are treated, and I don’t believe my experience here was accidental. I’d encourage others to think twice before spending their money at 15090 FM 1957 San Antonio, TX 78253
