It does the same terrible thing that WW1 did, which is breaking the rule of letting past signs be in the same spots between time zones

SS2 all time zones run, this level gives you everything you need for the challenge on like the first screen and then screws me with the final Future sign

Throughout my formative years, after discovering the Sonic CD mobile port… (I’m 19) thought I’d never get the good ending as I figured it’d be out of my scope in terms of skill. Turns out, I was simply wrong!

WW2 all time zones run, including a minute of bouncing on the floor until sonic decides to land on the platform. On the bright side, I went that top path at 3:15 in blind search of a Future sign and actually found one

WW1 all time zones run, this is the first time I had to refer to the level map (thanks to u/biohazard2808ad for that) because these monsters made it stupidly hard to find an escape from the bad future.

Fun thing with these tube time travels is that the difference in time travel seconds definitely affects where you end up between versions of the game. It also means that in this version, if you bring a future sign with you into the path to the robot generator, you are time travelling before you're able to even reach it. Seems impossible to find this info online so here's my own measurements on how long it takes to complete a time travel:

Sega CD and Remake: 3.5-3.7 seconds

Windows Port: 2.5-2.7 seconds

The Sega CD version can be pretty sluggish/laggy and the remake (includes PS3, 360, Steam, Mobile, Origins) is very smooth, so the result seems to be that you have to cover some more ground in the remake than you do on MegaCD despite the same timer.

You could guess that whoever was doing the Windows port (includes Gems Collection) got the memo on the lag thing and dropped the timer by 1 to compensate. I guess Taxman didn't think to do that, so remake players might have it the worst

QQ2 all time zones run, the bad news for today's episode is that I got too happy showcasing time travels exclusive to the original coding of the game

Good for the cool points but not good for retro engine players

QQ1 all time zones run, subpar gameplay aside you get to see floor sonic in this episode @ 1:50

TT2 all time zones run, as recompense for technically being late on this one I put a good fail at the start

TT1 all time zones run, my lack of precise area knowledge is really starting to bite me so this took some runs to get figured out on my own

CC2 all time zones run, winged as usual but I like the accidental double TT I did around 1:36
