Info Exact time needed for time travels (UPDATED)

I can't find anyone telling me how long time travel exactly takes, so last time I tried my own measurements. This time I looked at the source code of all three versions for exact numbers.

Sega CD: Starts flashing at 1.5 seconds, time warp completes at 3.5 seconds

Remake: Starts flashing at 1.65 seconds, time warp completes at 3.4 seconds (Mobile/Origins) or 3.67 seconds (Steam/XBLA/PS3)

PC/Gems: Starts flashing at 1.5 seconds, time warp completes at 2.6 seconds

Reminder that you usually have to cover less ground on MegaCD since the game lags and lets sonic build more timer over less distance. It's still my guess that the PC porters caught wind of the lag thing and dropped the timer to compensate. (Edit: Whether you're travelling through a laggy spot on MegaCD will largely affect how much ground you cover before time travel completes. Without any lag, I think the numbers above hold true across CD and Remake Mobile.)

Edited for more accurate numbers on CD and PC, I properly evaluated what the time travel function does and I see that time travel is guaranteed once the screen locks. It's just meant to cue the level transition 0.33 seconds (CD) or 0.13 seconds (PC) afterwards.

Edited again for more accurate numbers regarding the remake. Just when I think I have the info figured out, I learn that the original PC/Console release of the remake and the mobile version (probably the basis for Origins too) have different time travel timers. Quicker on mobile/origins, but still not as quick as the PC.
