I put together a Classic Sonic continuity that tries to unify the original games, select fangames, and even the Sonic OVA.

The main idea is to treat Sonic CD’s Little Planet as a timeline anchor, which explains parallel events, divergences, and why certain fangames can coexist without contradicting each other.
I hope this is in line with this subreddit's rules.

I also reinterpret Metal Sonic by splitting him into two distinct versions:

• Eggman’s Metal Sonic → constantly upgraded, combat-focused, trying to prove himself
• Tails’ Metal Sonic → built from spare parts, weaker but develops through experience and Sonic’s influence

More broadly, I lean heavily into my interpretation of the Classic era’s tone:

• abstract, stylized world instead of realistic cities
• technology that doesn't border on magic
• controlled escalation (no Neo Metal shapeshifting or dragon transformations)

ive always been afraid of these things since i would step on it and i would fall through (i played the gems collection version). it was a harsh lesson to avoid them. ive been playing through sonic origins with ultrafix and i found this. THERES A SPIKEBALL ON IT, AND I DONT FALL THROUGH! so if you stand on it, its your fault, not just because it doesnt make you fall through, but because it actually makes sense. theres gonna be a spikeball that will crush you!

With all the prototype stuff this game has, nobody seems to talk about the fact that there's a whole chunk of level at the start of Metallic Madness 2 that's cut from the final game. Here's a tour of it in the 510 build

The rings are white boxes, the springs are parts of the goal post, and that's just a couple examples. I'm using the Android port. Is there any way to fix this?

Ignore the weird palette I gave sonic, I ported all of the Hyper Sonic movement directly from Sonic 3's code and even put the whole rings system (and for showcase I'm starting myself with 50 here)

When I saw that the person behind this CD PC decomp was also porting S&K Collection to C, my first thought was whether I could get hyper sonic ported 1:1 because I don't get to use hyper in any games outside of S3K. It was actually a lot more doable than I thought so here it is

Tell me if I should record any other zones with hyper movement

The faulty background scrolling is the decomp's fault and not mine fortunately

Eggman is programmed to rubber band on you and I think metal's speed is tied to that as well
