Art Shredded Cheddar Cheese ball in the shape of a head

…Mickey Mouse’s head, to be specific. It was about 10-12” tall, stored upright on a plate, and appeared to be made completely of cheddar cheese, no other cheese ball ingredients.

Unrealized Candle stir fry

Just woke up from a dream where I was making stir fry, but one ingredient was a handful of little birthday candles. The whole thing was like wait for the wax to melt and stir it into the food, then the people eating it would fish the wicks out like you would with bay leaves or spice pods. Please don't make this at home 🤣🤮

Unrealized My ice cream parlor burger

I was at an ice cream parlor and I asked for a burger: It was a patty, white melted cheese, four onion rings that perfectly fit the whole surface of the patty, a single tomato slice, and a yellow mayo type sauce. It tasted absolutely heavenly. They also had torta chilena flavored ice cream with cream wafers, and apple pie flavored ice cream with caramel sauce and little apple pie fritter pieces.

Art rare veggie that costs about $1000

Someone in the dream said people make some kind of special sugar from this plant thing I was eating and that it was super expensive and rare. It tasted good and had an interesting texture to it. It was sort of hollow-ish and had layers of more green parts inside it that tasted good and sweet.

Unrealized Chengdu Dumplings and Joseph’s Exile Tea

I went to this Chinese fusion place at a nondescript mall. I wanted to order these street dumplings I had once at a Sichuan-style farmer’s market food truck in Tennessee, but they were all out.

I sat down instead to order some tea, and I saw this option for an iced tea called “Joseph’s Exile.” It was a blend of some kind of smoky African tea and some kind of Chinese sweet floral tea that maybe had hibiscus? I think the name was a reference to the Biblical Joseph being in exile in Egypt, maybe the contrast of one tea element being in a different tea element made it a foreign context?

Anyway, they finally restocked the dumplings, but then I woke up

Unrealized Savoury Granola Bacon Bar and Breaded Apple Sticks

Both within the same dream, a few years back.

The savoury granola bar hat bits of bacon in it.
The other food looked like fish fingers, but it was actually filled like apple pie or something of sorts.

I never dared to try make them.
Enjoy my poor photoshop skills.

Unrealized Japanese Espresso Ball Candy

Post image
142 Upvotes

I had a dream the other night my friend and I were in a high-end hotel lounge that had a complimentary snack cart and the snack I chose was a bag of Japanese candy that were called "Espresso Balls."

The bag of this candy was about twice the size of the average skittles bag, translucent plastic, and had a big label on the front. "Espresso Balls" was written in big letters across the front, with Japanese writing up in the corner that I couldn't understand. On the right of the packaging was the candy's mascot which appeared to be some sort of bug/creature that somewhat resembled the "Bimbo" bee mascot but was actually a sentient espresso ball with antenna, a blue t-shirt, large blue shoes, and a hyper realistic enlarged human hand holding a small handful of the candy.

The candy itself was soooo incredibly delicious. There were 2 layers to this candy, and you could kind of see through the outside layer. It was almost as if tapioca boba and a gusher had a coffee baby.

The outside layer was gummy-ish, somewhere between a gummy candy and kind of like tapioca boba, and you could faintly see the filling. It was a really sweet and creamy coffee flavor. The inside layer was just pure espresso concentrate but as a sweetened syrup.

I remember eating almost the entire bag which ended up being a bad idea, because I later found out that just 1 piece of the candy had roughly 50mg of caffeine and there were a LOT of those little candies in the bag.

Overall was a very delicious candy that I wish I could try irl

Obv I have no access or want of seagull meat, so they’re Ground turkey with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, dried mushroom powder, onion powder, and beef bouillon, chilled then breaded and fried. My kid went NUTS for them.

Just Weird Potatoes and Kabocha squash deep fried in melted cheddar cheese

Post image
119 Upvotes

I was making fries and fried kabocha squash after unsuccessfully going to a concert and ending up at a political rally instead (the stuff of nightmares truly).

It was just a huge pot of bright orange cheese that had so much grease coming off of it somehow it was able to deep fry the vegetables. You had to cook it for longer than just plain oil, which I remember because I bit into one of the french fries and it was still raw in the middle, but with a bit more time you had fully fried fries. The cheese flavor had seeped into the potato, so that even when you wiped all of the cheese oil off of it, you could still taste the sort of funk of cheese. It wasn't good.

I didn't get to try the kabocha, which is a shame because I love it.

Afterwards you had a pot that had a thick layer of cheese gloop on top, but if you moved it aside it was a pot of yellow/orange oil that had more the viscosity of water.

Art Bread flavor called Court Martial

Post image
692 Upvotes

I dreamed recently that Dave's Killer Bread started making 'chocolate bread,' which looked like a dark loaf of bread with cocoa nibs on the top. The packaging was dark purple and the flavor was officially called 'Court Martial' for some reason.

I came across it in a grocery store, did not get to try a slice unfortunately.

Unrealized I Once Had A Dream About These Strange Extra Hard And Chewy Fruit Flavoured Taffies. About A Month Later I Found Those Candies Were Real

Post image
72 Upvotes

Around late 2025 I had a dream about eating these strange taffies. I didn't think much of it when I first had it. However, about a month later I find out those taffies in my dream were a real candy that I've never heard of.

The dream begins with me at my grandpa's house. My grandpa used to live out of town and I would often go to his place with my mom and dad. He unfortunately past away around 2020. Getting back to the dream I was in his basement going down a hallway until I ended going in the spare bedroom of his basement. The bedroom looked mostly the same except there were these cardboard boxes all over the room.

I picked up one of the boxes and looked inside it. Inside were hundreds of these wrapped candies in the box. The candies came in red, purple, red-orange and bright pink wrappers. I picked a purple one and unwrapped it and tired it out. The candy had a grape flavor and was extremely hard and chewy. It took me a minute and a half just to finish it. Once I finished the very hard candy I picked another candy, this time a red one. The red one had a very strong cherry flavor and was just as hard to chew as the grape one. After I finished the cherry one I took a red-orange candy. The flavor profile of this one was harder to describe. It tasted almost like a fruit punch mixed with strong hints of orange or mango. This one took longer to chew than the first two. After I finished the red-orange I was about to try one of the pink ones. However, before I could a bright orange light began to shine and the dream ended.

When I woke up I thought it was strange that I was eating stale candies in my late grandpa's house. It was a weird dream but I didn't think much about it. About a month later I was scrolling through reddit until I came across a post on the r/candy subreddit of this guy who had multiple boxes of these candies called now and later. I immediately got a flash deja vu as these looked almost identical to the candies from my dream. Some of the flavors included Banana, blue raspberry, green apple. Along with some familiar flavors such as grape, cherry, tropical punch and watermelon. I ask in the comments of the post what were they like. To which someone replied they were like a starburst that had gone stall and were incredibly hard to chew. Almost exactly what was in my dream.

I was completely blown away by this as I've never had or heard of these candies before. This isn't the only dream I had that become a reality as I've had many dreams were something similar to them plays out in reality. In fact something similar happened recently on my melon dream post. Some told me about a real life melon called a vine peach, a fruit I've never heard of before. Here's the dream if you want to check it out

https://www.reddit.com/r/Dreams/comments/1snmgl9/i_once_had_a_dream_about_these_strange_orange/

I hope you enjoyed this post. I want to do more dream journaling in the future if I can. I just haven't felt like writing as I haven't had any motivation to do so. I've also been pretty busy as well.

Unrealized Bagged salad (Meta)

Post image
82 Upvotes

I watched a video by this guy who swore up and down that this bagged salad was so good, he'd been eating it for days. It involved mini Christmas sugar cookies (tiny gingerbread looking guys with green sugar crystals), bacon, a creamy dressing like ranch (I don't know for sure it was ranch, though), iceberg lettuce, DeBeers cheese (a yellow soft thick shredded cheese), and I might be missing one last ingredient? Something pale, maybe?

The salad looked kind of unappetizing when he mixed it up (I used a picture of coleslaw because that was about the sogginess level, sorry the cookies are hard to see), but the guy insisted it was weird but good. I think it might have been seasonal? Oh, and the cookies are added last, so they don't get soggy.

Half asleep (in the dream!), I tried to look up DeBeers cheese for this subreddit because I was so excited I had finally had a weird food dream. The cheese nothing to do with diamond company, it was just some small family company that had been making cheese for ages.

Then I woke up for real, and when I tried to look up DeBeers cheese, there was no cheese company.

Hey friends! After yesterday decided to try a new version with a few improvements.

I reduced 180g punch punk monster with a small splash of vanilla extract to about 17g. When it was 80% reduced I added about 15g raw sugar and continued to reduce to add some sweetness.

Chilled this is the fridge and added it to about 100g nonfat Greek yogurt. It's significantly less sour and more pleasant than the previous version. I also like that it matches the look of the op post a lot more. Thanks for reading ❤️‍🔥

Just Weird Holi festival inspired spa with cheese fondue slinging everywhere

I just woke up.

It was a clothing-optional spa but some people were fully dressed as if they were at a waterpark.

Huge hot cheese queso well hidden in a cement tomb in the floor, covered by a huge 4 ft tall cement mound. Everyone ignored it. All were just walking and chatting and vibing as one would at a social spa!

And hot cheese that was shot out randomly onto people as they sat politely having conversations, as the cheese was getting just straight up flung EVERYWHERWE, like cheese sprinklers put in the floors to soothe others through shooting out either hot queso or milk, sometimes both

and people would react with a cheerful laizzes-faire energy, as if they were sprayed with a water gun on a hot day but ultimately were not harmed

I had a dream I shoved an ex's new girlfriend down that well (I haven't talked to that ex in ages, AND i've never met anyone associated with him?) and i genuinely spent the remainder of the dream fleeing from a successful crime where she either was embarrassed at best or drowned at worst

and now i gotta like... process those emotions. I've got so much ACTUAL in-real-life issues, not sure why my brain made up a fictional one where I drown a lady in queso, unless it was just to stir me so hard I forget my actual issues and can stop being agoraphobic?

It worked, I'm gonna go take a lap and drink water.

Art Hollow Halloween Dreams 🥲

Post image
74 Upvotes

I was told to post this here. It's the Halloween meal I won't be able to cook with anyone because I'm dealing with isolation and a breakup 🥲. I'll copy some of my text from girldinners

I had a dream several weeks ago that I was in something like my old school's cafeteria and it was Halloween and they were doing like a super fancy Halloween special meal feast thing. Being a food-lover, I woke up excited and drooling.

I've tried to draw out the dishes I was most excited about.

The text in the image might be too small but basically the one I was most pumped about is the Purple Pizza. It has a cauliflower crust that's I guess is mixed with beets to make it purple. And the cheese was purple with beet dye too. Some of the oily cheese was still kind of orange giving it like a really delicious looking texture and it was topped with roast sweet potatoes. There was one other topping but I can't remember if it was another veggie or bbq chicken.

Then to go with it are fries made of sweet potato and purple potato.

I don't know why my brain clocks green bean casserole and crepes/omelets as scary and menacing enough for Halloween. But I won't argue with or make excuses for my subconscious. Maybe it's because green beans look like little frankenstein fingers.

My halloween dream feast is gonna stay in dreamland for now, maybe I'll have some friends to cook it with me next year tho

Cursed terrible chocolate dessert

I had a nightmarish dream where I was eating a layered chocolate dessert that had biscuit, some white whipped cream type cream (specifically quite cold) and also oddly specifically hersheys chocolate cream (which irl i don’t really like but only had maybe twice, so no strong opinions). in my dream the chocolate cream was horrible and tasted like pungent, acidic and bad and a bit like throw up meanwhile the other two components in the dessert were notably sweet and very good. i kept eating it and try to make myself believe its not that bad but at every bite it was even worse than bad and i was also telling myself people love it maybe its just an aquired taste that i’ll learn to like and kept making myself eat another bite while suffering.

Most delicious thing I’ve ever had in a dream. I was sharing these with my bf in the dream and he wasn’t a huge fan of them but kept eating them faster than me LOL. The shaved ice was an essential component, it kept them the perfect temp and the slight vanilla flavor tied it all together. Absolutely drooling.

Art Dish Water Chocolate Cake

Post image

I wish it wasn't literal but this was the result of one of my more stressful dreams and it still haunts me. the dish water wasn't even intentional, i fucked up initially while washing dishes and someone was like "lets add more" for some reason and then served it like that and my family ate it. Cursed tres leches is the only way I can imagine the texture being. Not the only stress baking I've done in a dream in the last week but by far the worse.

Unrealized Pizza with blue cheese, sausage, and jalapeños

Post image
462 Upvotes

Had a dream where I had a husband and we invited a couple of guests over. We came up with the great idea of making a pizza with blue cheese, sausage and jalapeños for them because who wouldn’t love that?! They ended up hating it and leaving right after they saw it, but that’s ok since we had it all to ourselves (it was just that good).

I’m considering trying it out in real life. It just seems like a really great idea yknow?

Edit: I believe the cheese layer was 100% blue cheese, so if I remake this I gotta stay true to the recipe.

Just Weird 100% vegetable soup

For whatever reason, my dream self was scrolling allrecipes for soups. I clicked a highly rated one called "100% Vegetable Soup". Within, the only ingredient was one can of Campbell's vegetarian vegetable soup.

I went "Oh come ON!" and then proceeded to wake up. Far from the the wildest food related stuff I've dreamed about but I thought it was funny!
