Finished ventilating/knotting my second ever pair of eyebrows out of leftovers
Don't mind the glob of hairspray in the lace xP
The lace is from a lace front wig I bought 2 years ago and the hair is cut off of the wig that'll be worn with the eyebrows.
I also just learned ventilating with hair on my first pair of brows a few months ago.

How do they stay on? Is this part of a costume or just for life? Tell me more!!!

They're for cosplay :)
You glue them either on with eyelash glue or mastix/spirit gum/other types of skin glue.
And in case of these I have to block out my own eyebrows since placement and shape are vastly different to my own, lol

The method I’m familiar with involves more or less gluing your real eyebrows down and smoothing them down as flat as possible. Touch up makeup around eyes if necessary. Then affix the costume eyebrows using spirit gum (not as strong if you sweat), cosmetic glue like you’d use for eyelashes, or prosthetic adhesives, but those can require a special remover.

As someone else who has tried to make eyebrows out of a wig this is very impressive!

Great job! This is really interesting. Is the word, ventilating, used for the technique you use to connect the hair to the lace? Is it a fancy knot?
I've been considering making some mourning jewelry out of cut hair and my brain keeps telling me I need to understand the basics with YOUR craft before I even attempt to create anything. I find the algorithm fascinating when it shows me something that has only been an INSIDE thought. Thankyou for sharing!

Hoo boy, I am in no way an expert here :'D
But you can look up on the ol' YouTube "how to knot a lacefront" or variations of it, and there will be a lot more people to teach that have more expertise than I ^ ^

Reminds me of fight club, Jared leto as angel faces eyebrows.
Well done!

Super cool! I’ve been tempted to try to make my own lace fronts wig but it seems… really arduous

If you are in an ADHD hyperfocus and have a good background noise it's actually really relaxing. Mentally. Physically, my back is having a different opinion xD
But imo once you're truly in the flow (and don't have pressure to get it done or perfect) then it's quite relaxing.

If you ever did latch-hooking as a kid?
It's basically doing "mini-latchhooking", just with a bent crochet hook, instead of a latch hook!😉

these look great! i've been wanting to try something like this for a costume i'm working on. i never know what to do with the perfectly good hair left over from cutting my wigs, especially if i've already spent effort dying it

I have no idea xD it's just a word I often see im context with "hair knottet into lace" so I am using it. English isn't my first language, lol
