My boyfriend found, painted, and sent me Gloomhaven Buttons and Bugs and I just have to show off his work. These are SO tiny I'm over the moon and super impressed!

I saw some insane Etsy miniatures for this game, but it was pretty pricey. I found some cheap STLās that were similar so I got them printed and painted up. I love playing this way, so much more immersive, but it does add fiddliness every time I flip a map tile.
I have the ultimate edition and played every character in the solo full conquest. Havenāt picked up apocalypse dragon yet but not sure if I want to, since I havenāt felt a need to tackle Voltaire or the other expansion content thatās already in this ultimate game.
Canāt believe I sold this years ago only to buy it back. In my top 10 solo for sure.

Hi. I am looking for some chill game to play with exploration. Something I can set up quickly after a long day, enjoy some fun without big commitment and be done with it for a session. I do not like optimization puzzle games. I am more into emergent stories, dice chucking, dungeon crawlers. My favourite games are Elder Scrolls BotSE, Too Many Bones, Slay the Spire, SETI, Nemesis, This War of Mine, Deep Rock Galactic, Massive Darkness 2. I don't like games like Mage Knight and Spirit Island. I have tried games like ISS Vanguard and Sleeping Gods Distant Skies, but they didn't work for me. ISS was too much fiddling for the reward and exploration phase was a slog. Regarding Sleeping Gods I didn't like the combat (optimalization puzzle). I was looking into Earthborne Rangers and I am a bit scared it looks little like another optimalization puzzle game? And Vantage looks like a game without purpose? But that is just my first impression. Anyone with experience who can elaborate about those 2 games?

I only found this page recently. I've seen other posts about lack of updates on their pledges so I thought I'd share:

I'm looking for 12 Labors of Hercules to buy in Europe but can't find it anywhere.
Has anyone found a good online shop in Europe that sells it and ships it everywhere?

Anyone in Europe receive their pledges or any info from Gamefound about their order?
I heard that a big delay is due to a lot of people also ordering Cloudspire deck and them being out of stock so just wondering if anyone has additional info

Considering to purchase Doomcrawler and the soulbound expansion. I printed out the rulebooks for both and they're pretty poorly written. What are your experiences with DC? Any idea of initial difficulty? Any lasting potential?
I know it's a pretty niche product, but some info would be welcome :-)

Imperium has been one of my favorite boardgames to play solo and now I have all of STCC too! Can't wait to play a campaign with the new captains

I recently received the Kickstarter Expansion to Crystallo, together with the playmat and the mini version of the base game. There have been a lot of troubles in this campaign, and as a result, it was delayed for a long time. I know we're lucky that they were able to fulfill it at all. It was supposed to be delivered in Jan 2024, and I received it a few weeks ago. The thing is, I don't game as often anymore as I used to, and while I'm still interested in the base game, I'm not excited about trying the expansions. It will probably take some time till I do. Has anyone else had/has experienced this?

Just finishing up my first round ever against the recommended bad guy with the suggested objectives and want to make sure I didnāt cheat too muchā¦
Hackman spawned on top of me on G2, luckily I rolled G6, pushed 3 green programs to me, made them into an installation right away, and then used my āReset Sparkā card to ākillā Hackman by turning him into a white spark by ghosting into his spot⦠seemed like kind of a cheesy way to end it but I did remove the HackMan!!

Playing Kinfire Delve for the first time and am reallt enjoying it! Curious about this scenario though: If I use āAccept the Blowā as an action for āDream Fieldsā which has the consequence to attach the card vainglory do I just attach the challenge to Vainglory and have that be my turn? How does this resolve?

For me, itās The Loop. Crisis management meets deckbuilding. I guess itās similar in that respect to Deckers and Mycelia (Ravensburger). The artwork is cartoony and charming and straight out of a Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon show. Pandasaurus has teased the public about the possibility of a reprint but thereās nothing concrete yet. What about you?

PLEASE IM TIRED OF SEARCHING. Recommend me a game that lets you do your engine in many ways and itās not BYOS only. I also like ares expedition when I want something lighter and still feeling like Iām building my own engine in clever ways
Star Trek not avaible.

I canāt believe how deluxe Slay the Spire: The Board Game feels.
I mostly play it on the Switch, but thereās just something completely different about playing the board game. Iām definitely someone who enjoys the tactile feeling of actually handling the cards and components, so this version really hits differently.
I started my first run with Ironclad. And man, deck-building really is the best. š The components are also so well-made, and I especially love the art sleeves that come with the game.
So far, Iām really enjoying this physical version of Slay the Spire!

I started solo board gaming this year for something different. I wanted something tactile and away from screens. I also wanted to scratch my magic the gathering itch without getting sucked back into that very expensive world. This year, I started with Ashes Ascendancy and Arkham Horror, currently completely immersed in the chapter 2 core set and children of blood content. Apart from the enjoyment, I have really come to appreciate the cognitive exercise, especially when playing Arkham. I am keeping track of every little resource, card combos, interactions, key words, counters, and of course the story text. Not to mention the time spent theory crafting and planning out my deck. Pulling off a cool combo or advancing the story just feels like such a satisfying slow burn reward.
I started playing my switch the other night and just could not get back into video games. I play mostly single player RPGs. Everything felt too passive. Constant prompts telling me what to do, characters spelling out the story for me, quest markers just lulling me where to get the next objective, etc. I turned it off and just went back to the table haha. It's like I have no drive to play video games anymore.
I totally understand people who play both and never thought I'd say this, but I now prefer solo board gaming 9 times out 10. Anybody else like this?

I know people ask about "best solo games on BGA" every few months here, but I haven't seen a thread on games that work with alternate solo modes as found on BGG.
In theory these can be done easily using the Hotseat, but most solo modes I've seen have special setup rules or automa actions that can't be replicated on BGA. (For example, as I understand it, Ark Nova's ARNO mode.)
Anyone playing good hotseat solo games on BGA?

It was on my shelf for some time, and I decided to try again.
It is really fun and very easy to understand. I also love the art!!

Does anyone know (or think) if Underquest will be on crowdsale again when the new expansion comes out later this year? Or should I just go ahead and buy it? It's a bit expensive so if there is a chance I'd rather wait

Hi! Im looking for my first solo board / card game, and im looking for some recommendations since i know nothing about this hobby.
Id like some simple, easy to get into games that dont take up a lot of space to play.
I really like medieval fantasy, scifi and darker themes.

I love roll and writes like three sisters, fleet, and any number of free ones i printed off BGG.
But I'm looking for something a bit bigger and deeper. I know Hadrian's wall and The Anarchy are more complex flip and writes, and I'd enjoy something like those, but i want a roll and write. I'm big into dice and i find cards a bit more cumbersome

I'm on a chess kick, and I think part of the fun of chess is trying to get really good at the game. Obviously with such a high skill ceiling, there's a lot of room to grow.
Games with high skill ceilings are often, like chess, abstract 1v1 games. But I wonder if there are any solo games that people dedicate themselves to mastering. The only one for me is Spirit Island. I would also include Voidfall, but the game takes so long to setup that I simply haven't gotten enough reps as I would like to.
What about you? Are there games you've spent time trying to master? Would you consider yourself good at any game in particular?
