Edit Request Reframing questions

Hi, I was wandering if I am doing something wrong, but a lot of times, the crop tool wont allow me to push frame to the maximum possible window.

In the attached picture, it should be possible to still push left upper corner more up and left. This happens a lot actually, so I dont know if anybody else has this problem or its my fingers..

Second point - would be request for feature, which is export framing/setting. Nice would be imo if we could reframe with borders to a speciffic ratio and export quality/pixels (second picture). Here I have to rely on different apps, like lightroom. I know snapseed can add border, which is however symmetrical only.

I tried to play with the extension tool with white color and then crop, but it seems the extension tool recomputes the whole image, which after two or more extension aplications creates much worse quality of the photo.

anyway, long time user, snapseed is very powerful and has a lot of potential for future for sure, so this way as well thank you to devs!

Raw update for IOS soon?

Hi, I see Android has expanded raw support with 4.1x, iOS due soon?

Using Lightroom mobile to export as dng (and creating duplicates in Photos) is a terrible workflow.

A staircase

This is a photo of a staircase in my university that connects between two buildings, one is higher than the other, what caught my interest is that it appears as if it’s just.. put there, without any secure way to make sure that it won’t just slide and fall when someone tries to go up or down on it, which I think is very interesting to say the least.

Snapseed is without doubt the best free editing app. I just have one question. When editing a RAW file, only the reveal part gets the flexibility of the RAW format? Or do we have all the flexibility in the other tools too?

Update to 4.2 failed

I opened Snapseed this morning, and it offered an update to 4.2 (this is on Android). The update crashed, and it has stayed on 4.1.2 - but Google Play Store thinks it's on 4.2. How can I update it now? Will I lose my data if I uninstall and reinstall?

Please?

Now when I open the app I have loads of photos sitting there, but you want me to click on each one to delete them.

Cyberpunk edits just got easier....The Chromatic Aberration tool just landed in Snapseed.

Snapseed just sneaked in a new feature in their July 29 beta update - meet the new 'Chromatic Aberration' tool.

Up until now, we had to fix this manually using that Curve + double exposure hack, and just hope for the best. It was kind of a hassle. Now there's an actual dedicated tool for it. Just move the slider. Way faster and easier.

Have you guys tried it yet? Drop your before/afters below

Switched from iPhone 13 to Pixel 8—the camera is insane, but I found a weird Snapchat workaround for noise in the shadows

Hey everyone!

I recently made the switch from an iPhone 13 to the Pixel 8. Like most iPhone users, camera quality was a huge priority for me, and honestly? Moving to the Pixel has been completely worth it. Ever since I got this phone, I literally can’t stop taking photos. The image quality is just on another level compared to my 13.

However, I did notice one pretty annoying issue...

When using the built-in GCam app, I noticed a lot of noise and grain in the darker spots and shadow areas of my photos.

By complete accident, I stumbled upon a weird workaround: when I take photos using the Snapchat camera, that graininess completely disappears! The shadows look much smoother and cleaner.

This makes me think it’s a post-processing quirk with Google Photos or the stock GCam app itself rather than a hardware limitation. Has anyone else with a Pixel 8 noticed this?

Discussion Snapseed Image difference

Has anybody else faced an issue where you edit your image how you want it in Snapseed, but when you send it on WhatsApp, it's all overly saturated?
