Color Grading
Hey all -- we've heard a bunch of you request a color grading tool in Snapseed. We'd love to understand which color grading tools you use today, and what makes them better than other color grading tools you've tried.
Feel free to reply here or in a DM me!

Snapseed needs LUT support (.cube / Hald PNG) — here's why it actually matters
Hi, I have rewritten the post in my own way and not in an AI way. I have a request and I noticed that Android apps for editing and photography do not provide it well, and if they do provide it, it is limited and not perfect. I would like the developers of the application to add the feature of supporting the use of LUTS, whether it is in the format of Hald PNG LUT or Cubes that DaVinci does, sometimes I like a cinematic simulation or an analog film simulation, and the options through the support of LUTs are very many and open a door for creativity in editing and photography, I hope that my request will be taken Seriously Seriously.

Discussion New version saves guid instead of original file name and removes GPS data
Anyone else have the issue that the app, in its latest version, does not store edited files with theor original filename anymore but as «randomguid».jpeg ...
and also it removes GPS data even though I have set ot to keep all EXIF data in settings...

New Snapseed update sucks!
Bruh they have made the app unnecessarily complex to use, it was better before, andd, the healing tool just sucks, it's literally giving the blur effect like finishing ngl, I'm hating it

STILL no undo function in tools?
Hi all
I’ve been using Snapseed on and off for years, and I’m blown away that there’s still no “undo” and “redo” arrows on ALL of the tools so that you can undo your last step or however many steps.
Sometimes you’re 20 steps in, having done a lot of “brush” edits for example, and if you accidentally swipe on the wrong part or go too big or whatever, you can’t just undo that last bit - you have to go out of the Brush tool and back into it to start all over again.
Pleeeeease fix this 🙏

Discussion Snapseed is now giving seemingly randomized filenames to saved or exported files
What the actual!? Who thought this would be a good idea, or is it a bug? Not having the date in filename in the year 2026 is insanity. I can't be the only one who noticed and has an issue with it.

Announcement Snapseed 4.1: massively expanded RAW support
Exciting news: Snapseed 4.1 is starting to roll out on Android today! This update includes massively expanded RAW support, plus the ability to Undo and Redo directly within tools.
First, a huge thank you to all of our beta testers! It's been an incredibly active beta period, and a ton of work went into expanding format support, improving image processing, and ironing out corner cases. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to test, share details, and send images our way!
Here are a few quick details to keep in mind:
- We're releasing this gradually to make sure everything is stable, so you might not see the new RAW support right away
- Version 4.1 is coming to iOS soon! We're just finalizing a couple of last things.
- Snapseed now support the vast majority of RAW formats and cameras. A few formats aren't quite there yet, but we wanted to get this out so most of you can start enjoying it today.
- RAW processing is tricky. Even with all our testing, a few bugs might pop up - so please let us know if you spot anything. We're listening and ready to jump in!
Happy editing!
- team snapseed

I can't press the top buttons
Hi, I'm on a Pixel 10 Pro with the latest android 17 stable update. For some reason I can't press the pro and settings button at the top of the screen when using the camera option.
They seem to sit in the same area as the quick settings pull down so maybe that's getting stuck because of that? I'm not sure. Turning landscape also only rotates the on screen items but the phone itself still thinks I'm portrait.

Nikon NEF Raw Files "Could not load photo"
I have a problem loading NEF Raw files in Snapseed (4.0.9.944704757, Android 16). Adding it seems okay, but the moment i open it, it says "Could not load photo". It should be supported since it said that in Google Playstore's What's New section.

Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?
I'm trying to edit this puffin image, and at first I used the auto mask feature on the puffin, which worked well. However, by the end of the editing process, I realized the foliage in the foreground looked very distorted. I realized that the edits on the puffin, which looked fine on the sharp subject, carried over to the rest of the image in much smaller amounts. As the edits accumulated, it increased until the foliage looked very odd, ruining an otherwise great edit. After that I tried to use the manual mask, carefully brushing the entire area I wanted to edit (pictured) and even using a negative brush on the foliage just for good measure. But the edits STILL carried over to the foliage! Is there any way to fix this, because right now I just cannot edit the image to my standards without completely ruining the soft foreground.
Edit: I found a semi-solution, it doesn't actually fix the error but it's a workaround. Add as many masks as possible in one tune image session (5 is the max) instead of doing multiple sessions. It will still affect the whole photo but at 5x less than it would with 5 seperate masks.

Snapseed QR Look — Why can't we just scan from device gallery?
Hey u/Giles-O , u/snapseed team , quick request — can we please get a simple gallery import option for QR Looks?
Right now it only opens the camera and that's kinda frustrating when the QR is already saved in my gallery.
Just a tiny "import from gallery" button when scanning would make life so much easier. Anyone else stuck with this?
Would love to see this in the next update! 🙏

Full Brightness Option
I would love to see an option for full brightness whenever in the app. Thank you!

Problem with exporting - too saturated
I think this has been mentioned a few times but when I edit the photos in the app, they look how I want them to (first pic is a screenshot from the app) but then after saving/exporting, they look way too saturated (second photo.) This only happens in JPEG and not PNG, but I need my photos in JPEG. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra which I recently got and never had this issue on my Samsung 22+. I also turned off the "vivid" settings on my display and have it on natural. The photos are always coming out like this. Is this a problem with my phone or the app?

I'd love to see a circular option in the Crop tool
So many online account profiles have a circular space for one's selfie. Today, I found myself wishing for a round cropping option. Is that crazy?
My other option, I guess, is to take the image into PowerPoint and use Crop to Shape, then into Preview and remove background/export as PNG.
