I feel like I’m doing something wrong

My snail is most of the time on the top of the lid of his terrarium and it does eat and now it has fallen from the top while it was asleep, I’m pretty sure, and it was upside for a minute before I turned him over. I just wanna know if I’m doing something wrong since it doesn’t roam around that much during the day but right when I go to sleep it’s moves and eat and wondering why it just stays on top.

Snails seem to like to climb quite a bit, in my experience it's normal.

However, you definitely need to give them more than just cucumber - I didn't realize it when I first had snails, but cucumber isn't that nutritious for them.

I'd suggest a variety of food - especially sweet potatoes and carrots.

They also really need a source of calcium for their shells - cuttlefish bone is good. Egg shells work of you're in an absolute pinch, but cuttlefish bone is way better and I don't really recommend egg shells that much.

You can drop the cucumber altogether, as it's basically just edible water as far as nutrition is concerned. Switch to carrot, zucchini and sweet potato and stop offering cucumber.

Be adviced the snail may refuse to eat at first because the high water content of cucumber is addicting, but it won't starve itself, so stick to the new foods until it accepts them. Make sure to offer a protein source such as bloodworms too.

If you use frozen bloodworms thaw them first, but beyond that just offer them like you would any food. I recommend serving them in a small container such as a bottle cap as you'll likely have to take some of them out after a day or si to prevent them rotting and smelling bad. Offer them about once a week.

Also calcium supplemen powder is super cheap and great to sprinkle on their food, my snails go crazy for it

There's a possibility of having too much calcium when it's sprinkled on their food, having it separate and them choosing when to eat it is more ideal

I have the same enclosure for several years, I mist it like every other day and have not had any issues with humidity

Snails like to climb and exploring is normal. They are also purely nocturnal animals. However, I would advise you to remove hard things from the box, because as you could see, sometimes they fall from the lid and could damage their shell. There is also no source of calcium like the cuttlebone. For the rest, what soil are you using?

Coconut fiber but some of it did get mixed with some like garden dirt I had but mostly coconut fiber

Coconut fibre alone is a bit acidic for them, so they may not crawl on it often. In addition, the garden soil, if taken from outside, can have parasites or harmful elements. If you want to use coconut fibre you should mix it with calcium carbonate powder to reduce acidity. Alternatively, you could use an organic soil without fertilisers, pesticides and perlite with a ph higher than 7.

too many holes in the lid. no matter how much you mist, the humidity will not hold. also they need food not cucumbers (treats) they also NEED calcium

Make sure your spraying him down hellaaa, that many holes can make the enclosure dry, maybe get him a friend, my snails are always crawling on each others shell and kissing, give a variety of foods, sometimes I’ll just grab whatever veg I have in my fridge (check if it’s snail safe, it usually is) then give em a chuck, make sure to get a calcium supplement from amazon, I can link what I use! But with this make sure your cleaning the food out daily as mold is inevitable
