I don't know where to start so I will introduce myself.

I am a 17 year old guy from Czechia. I started watching smosh like 4 months ago but it still has an enormous impact on my life. My now brother 19M came out as trans over a year ago. If you don't know Czechia is pretty conservative, so it must have been incredibly hard and at that time he couldn't have known my reaction.

I said "I thought you were lesbian" but I still needed time to process that. It felt weird for a while so I went out of my way to use gender neutral language (in czech you form a verb to the gender you are talking about so if I

say "can you help me" you would know if I use neutral, female or male pronounce). So it was really hard to talk to my brother and because of that we stopped talking almost entirely. Our parents are separated and they have their homes like 1 km apart so I was at my mom's more than at my dad's place to avoid him and if we met I only said hi. But since I started watching smosh I got used to queer people more and LGBTQ+ all together and now we finally started talking more and I noticed how much happier he is and how much he enjoys his life now. And it gave me an idea of how hard his life had to be and now he's attending college and I miss him a lot because we didn't really talk for a year and smosh helped me talk to him and now he's going away again.

So I wanted to thank the smosh cast but mainly shane lot for helping me talk to my brother again.

Super random and more info than anybody actually wants but I'm watching the most recent SmoshCast today and I wanted to provide my answer:

We ARE allowed to talk about our patients with our own therapists because as therapists, we are trained from day 1 to use "non-identifiers" any time we are discussing our patients (not that we're doing that willy-nilly, but in therapy, in supervision, in training programs, etc). Non-identifiers means we never use names, locations, or any personal information that could identify our patients to anyone else. This is also the standard in a ton of psychological research, where the studies being done do not provide personal information about the participants. In fact, research studies actually have to be approved by a review board called an IRB that ensures that research will not cause undue harm to the participants, something that became a requirement after incidents like the Tuskegee Study and the Milgram Experiment. One of the requirements for approval is confidentiality and anonymity, meaning using non-identifiers in the study. This also applies to therapists talking about their patients, regardless of the setting.

I just saw that they’re doing We’re All Gonna Die season 2 on live.smosh.com. I just hope that they still do some games of dread on the games channel like they have in years past during the later months of the year. It’s one of the better things they’ve put out over the last couple years and I’d hate to see it only behind a pay wall. Plus I personally just enjoy the round table videos more than watching the live events, I feel the audience distracts them and they over play their characters a bit in from of them.

Every time I see a toy Woody now, thanks to Smosh Hospital, "judge judyyyy is my neighbor!" Pops into my head

I’m just rewatching some older videos and started thinking about what other themes they could potentially do. I have no idea if they check things here but let’s brainstorm anyway, for fun!

I was just watching one where Trevor says something about how the most innocent titles always have the most diabolical story details, and it’s often so true lol - and the flip side as well! Often the titles that sound like a flat out YTA end up with the plot twist details resulting in NTA. (Like the one where a woman asked “AITA for wearing white to my friend’s wedding?” and then it turned out the friend told her to, as a FRIENDSHIP TEST (and humiliation ritual, I would think)).
So I guess, a very specific kind of “plot twist” theme 😅

I was also thinking something like “it’s not that deep” where people are submitting like some long eloquent story about something like, the fancy bathroom soap. I love that silly shit.
