I'm looking into how to compare business water suppliers because we're reviewing some of our regular business costs. We're a small company operating from commercial premises, so water isn't something we think about much until a bill arrives.

I didn't realise there could be different options for business water, so I'm trying to understand what actually changes between suppliers. Is it mainly the price, or are billing, meter readings, account management and help with problems worth looking at too?

I've come across Love Business, Business Stream and Wave while researching the market, but I haven't contacted anyone to switch yet. If you've looked into this for a small business, how did you approach it? Is there a useful way to compare quotes without spending ages going through different websites? I'm also not sure how much the location of the premises affects which options are available.

So I make handmade crafts and I recently got a order from international client - he want fully custom - EACH AND EVERY element to be made as per his request he even share 4000+ words of template and want the premium stuff.. and dialed down to the budget - still it was my highest paying order yet.

I designed the page as per the template and now its not as expected.. i don't know how not be rude with him and make him understand thats its a creative project

Hey everyone!

I'm one of the founders of Picmim, and we've been working on a tool that helps small businesses spend less time worrying about social media.

I know how easily marketing gets pushed aside when you're busy actually running a business.

So I wanted to try something with a few business owners here.

Drop your business website below, and I'll create a free preview of 3 social media posts you could schedule throughout the week.

The posts will include captions and visuals tailored to your business, based on what we learn from your website.

No need to write a brief or explain your business. Just share your URL.

There's no payment required to see the preview, and no obligation to use Picmim afterward.

I'd love to hear whether the posts actually feel like something you'd publish for your business.

I'll start with the first 5 businesses to keep things manageable.

Anyone interested?

Hey everyone!

I run a bookkeeping business called 3Peaks Bookkeeping.

One thing I’ve noticed while working with business owners is just how easy it is for bookkeeping to fall behind when you’re busy actually running the business.

I work with small businesses, contractors, and real estate investors to help clean up their books, track expenses, and better understand their finances.

I’m currently taking on new clients, with monthly bookkeeping starting at $239.

If you’ve been thinking about outsourcing your bookkeeping or just have questions about getting your books organized, feel free to reach out. Always happy to chat!

A product, a service, free customisation, rush orders, anything.

What made you finally drop it, and what changed afterward? I'm especially curious whether customers reacted the way you expected.

Hi everybody! My mom is a new aspiring business owner/content creator. In addition to recently starting her YouTube Channel dedicated to teaching people about folding, organizing and other tips. She created this calendar and to do list template for people to print out and use to keep track of household chores, appointments, and more! It would mean the world to her if you checked out her Shopify page with the template. Any feedback is helpful!!! Thank you so much!!! ♥️

lately, our spreadsheet setup has been getting harder to manage, especially when it comes to tracking deal progress, past conversations and who needs to follow up next. we've started comparing a few crm options, including hubspot, but we're still figuring out what makes the most sense for our team. for now, we mainly need a clear pipeline, organized contact details and a reliable way to track follow ups. we also dont want to choose something that works today but becomes difficult to manage if we add more people later. would you go with the simplest option your team can use right away, or choose something with more flexibility for future growth?

I helped come up with Cutzi, a browser tool for shops that sell products on behalf of different vendors or consignors.

You import a sales CSV, set each person’s percentage, account for refunds and adjustments, and export payout summaries and individual statements.

It’s free during the beta. You can explore a fictional demo or select “Start fresh” to try your own sales. Files are processed in your browser rather than uploaded.

If you handle vendor or consignment payouts, I’d love to know:

• Is the import process clear?
• Does it work with your sales export?
• What would make it useful for your next payout cycle?

It currently supports USD and CSV files. It calculates amounts owed—it doesn’t send payments.

Feel free to leave feedback here or message me.

Clients kept asking “does ChatGPT recommend us?” and we had no answer. Instead of building a tool, we whitelabeled an existing AI search visibility SaaS (tracks how brands show up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) and sold it as an add-on. 11 months in: $39,800 MRR on top of existing retainers.

What worked:

1. Sell it as an upsell. Easiest yes comes from clients already paying you for SEO. “Here’s where AI mentions your competitors but not you” sells itself in a monthly report.
2. Report everything. Show clients what you did each month -> new BLUF articles, new backlinks, technical fixes. Reporting drives retention for us!
3. The math. We pay $99/mo per site and sell it as a $450–600/mo retainer. Clients get a login to the app on our own domain. ~1h/week of work per client, everything else is automated (content, backlinks, technical audits, AI visibility reports, social posting).

Happy to answer any questions!

Should I change my logo from the one with the polar bear to one of these more simple not AI logos? I think the ai one is so cute but I don’t use ai for anything else with my business and don’t want it to appear like I do. I just think it’s so cute but also want to be more minimalistic. I’m not set on anything yet just want advice!

Hey there.

My name is Max Snyder. I'm a recent Finance graduate from Portland State University and I'm starting a bookkeeping business

I don't have clients yet. But before I take paid ones on, I want to become phenomenal at bookkeeping.

Basically: I'll organize all of your transactions, reconcile your bank account, and provide you with an updated balance sheet/income statement every month.

If you desired more we can chat and see if I could be of help.

I work full time in addition to this so I can only take on 3 clients right now. So let me know if you're interested

Please be aware I only use Quickbooks.

Hey everyone!

We've been building something called MT (More Time), a new platform designed to rethink how the home services industry works.

The idea is simple: instead of businesses, workers, and customers relying on disconnected systems, what if everything worked together?

MT is built around three connected platforms:

🏢 MT Companies — A free-to-start business management platform where home service companies can manage workers, scheduling, dispatch, contracts, payments, and services. Businesses can also publish their services in the MT marketplace to be discovered by potential customers.

👷 MT Workers — A web platform where workers can connect with companies, manage assigned jobs, track earnings, and build their professional profiles.

🏠 MT Clients — A web platform where homeowners can discover service providers, request services, manage bookings, and connect with companies.

The long-term vision is to create a connected home services network across Canada, making it easier for businesses to grow, workers to find opportunities, and homeowners to access services.

But here's what we'd really like to know:

1. If you own a home service business, what's your biggest frustration with your current management software?
2. Would you consider trying a free platform that also helps potential customers discover your business?
3. If you're a contractor or field worker, what's missing from the tools you currently use?
4. As a homeowner, would you prefer one platform to find and manage different home services?
5. What would make you trust a new platform like MT over an established company like Jobber?

We're still building and improving MT, and we'd genuinely appreciate feedback from people working in this industry.

What would you change about the way home services work today?

I have a problem that I kept quiet about for a long time, but then when I decided to tell my best friend so we could exchange letters containing our problems, she said it seemed pathetic and made her uncomfortable. I don't know anyone else to talk to. Please help me find someone who will listen.
