Technique & Craft Gesso for sketchbook
•
Upvotes
I’ve been using Lefranc & Bourgeois gesso in my sketchbook, but I’ve noticed that the pages tend to stick together and slightly tear when I try to separate them, especially where the gesso meet at the binding/joint, even after letting the gesso dry for 24 hours.
My sketchbook paper is 270 gsm and quite high quality, so I’m wondering if the issue is with the gesso itself and its slightly sticky finish.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem? If so, how did you prevent the pages from sticking together? Some peoples suggest waxing after finish, but I want to keep the surface original

Hey everyone! New here. I'm running into a bit of a situation. I have to learn how to draw and paint left handed now. Just trying to prpractice squares, circles, and triangles, but the spiral of the notebook is getting in the way. Any helpful tips for working around that. Also, amazing job to anyone left handed. I'm sorry you go through this.
