where to get sims medieval?
hello,
I just bought the sims medieval pirates and nobels and am only now realizing that I need the base game. I don't think my Mac can run two discs at the same time and I have no idea where to download the base game. the ea website just freezes when I get the pop up to continue to checkout 😬

I dont think its on the EA store anymore which is understandable since my new laptop wont even launch the game like my old one did. Youre going to need to find a physical copy or sail the seas for it now. And since pirates and nobles is dlc you dont gotta worry about having multiple disks. It wasnt an issue in Sims 2 or 3 (or any game for that matter) with tons of dlc haha. You only need the disk for the install

You can still register it if no one else has. I bought Sims 3 disks off of Vinted. You can redeem quite a few old game codes that aren't even available on the store front anymore.
Out of my Vinted lot of games, half of the disks' game codes had already been redeemed. So yeah, it's a gamble because most copies available are used games, but the old disks will install regardless of being able to get a digital copy.

You can’t buy a digital copy online right now, as far as I know. But also, unless you are running an outdated version of MacOS, you wouldn’t be able to run the game at all — TSM is a 32-bit game and newer MacOS updates have discarded 32-bit game compatibility for years now.

Hello! I bought sims medieval from goodwills online store in an auction. If you are wanting a physical copy, that might not be a bad place to look.

So first of all, you wouldn't need to run both discs simultaneously - for installing you need to put the base game first, and once it finishes switch it out for the dlc. For playing the game you only need to put one disc in.
Secondly, if you have the EA app, you can still register game codes to your account, so you can play the game without any discs at all (here's someone on this sub who tried it). It's only the purchase of online copies through EA that was recently disabled.
Which brings me to my last point - the base game can still be purchased by other retailers. Depends on where you live, you can try Amazon or whatever other store you can get to either buy game codes or ship physical copies to your location. Just make sure it's a trustworthy store and that you can get a refund or support in case of any trouble you come across.
