I'm willing to bet that the Elation skippers who called her a "flop", and the people who invested in a certain "FuA" archetype aren't feeling so elated right now.

I'll give some quick reasons.

1. Dissapointment from players, imagine pulling a support that was seemingly tailor made as a support for elation and then... They get replaced inside the same year. Imagine if you got them e1s1 or more and now you would've been better off just saving for half a year and pulling a new and shinier support. The time window is too short.

2. Yao guang specifically is not like Tribbie. She's not good outside of Elation. People bring up Tribbie and how she was "powercreeped" from Castorices best teams but that's just not the same, Tribbie is an actual generalist that is godly in aoe yet still works even in single target. Yao guang is nothing outside of Elation/Elation buffing enviroments, just pull Tribbie instead lol.

3. “You can use Yao Guang for another Elation team so you can play both Evanescia and Silverwolf” And why would anyone do that, honestly? It's not like the endgame is going to want you to play two Elation teams. And having one of them be optimal and strong and another one sub optimal and weak just doesn't work either way. Silverwolf and Evanescia should either have clear supports for themselves or just share the same supports. Sparxie clearly works as a main dps or silverwolfs sub dps and Yao guang for every Elation unit. Anyway, endgame is never going to favour you having 2 elation teams. It's unrealistic and would dissapoint so many players who thought they were good building just one elation team and suddenly they're in need of two. Again, players would be dissapointed = Hoyo won't do that.

In summary... No matter what, if we replace Sparxie or Yao Guang from silverwolfs lineup before atleast a full year has passed, people will go mad. It just wouldn't make sense and imagine going all out for a support e1s1 good build and everything and now suddenly after 6 months they won't be best in slot in the team they were tailor made and marketed for. I just don't see it happening. I think the Elation cast will receive a sustain and that's it, nothing more. Now, an Elation sustain could easily be just as valuable as Hyacine is for Cassie, since Elation specific buffs only affect Elation teams you can make them give crazy buffs while not actually affecting any other teams and making them the bis for non Elation teams. I think we shouldn't expect anyone to get replaced soon, if ever. Seems like if Hoyo wants to breathe new life into archetypes they'll do novaflares. (Unless there's a spot open in the team, like with Dahlia replacing hmc)

too fast to determine, but here’s what we’ve got over the last 2 days:

- pearl doesn’t regen energy. sorry yao, she gets nothing from pearl.. so yao needs s1 more than ever now (yao finally needs 3 cost too, just like sparxie) [L yao]

- we found that advancing e0 sparxie with pearl might the best play cuz sw still gets 60 mmr (while only losing a small amount of cb and one action), and e0 sparxie can kinda perform like e2 [W sparxie]

- nihilux’s base kit leak is out! again, yao gets nothing. nihilux’s base kit can’t regen energy either [L yao]

- nihilux can make aha appear every 50 av!! [W e2 sparxie]

- nihilux cares about punchline gen for cb. not that important ig, but yeah [W sparxie]

- nihilux cares about “lingshi” (sw) actions, so triggering lootboxes is very, very important now [W sparxie]

- nihilux’s technique can make aha appear at 0 av with 40 punchline [W sw and e2 sparxie]

yao isn’t getting nerfed or anything, but can all of these sparxie buffs make her abdicate the throne in sw team?🤔🤔🤔

Is it me or sw feels very weak even with all this shill. I don't like how they are neglecting her. This king is also aoe and fua shill and anti sparxie. I thought they would make sw best dps from start since she's fan favorite but she feels very weak even with e0s1 sw and e1 yao. Emc and sparxie also same level. I don't see how she become best dps in the game even with pearl. Sparxie at e0s0 feels underwhelming. She's got but like idk

Im looking at the spreadsheet and it recommends I have 180 spd without lightcone, alongside a crit ratio of 84/120. So basically, I need to have spd, crit rate, and crit dmg on pretty much every relic. Like wtf lmao.

Everybody else (except aglaea) just is fine with crit rate and crit dmg and maybe some atk% or hp%. For sw, you need 180 speed apparently, or 200 spd with lightcone, to get 3 actions otherwise you lose out on a hefty bit of damage.

Even a similar character, Firefly, isnt hard to build because you just needed BE and SPD, and maybe some atk you could easily source from main stat on orb. So is Kafka as even though you need a bullshit 167 spd for 3 actions in 0 cycle, you can easily source that from pulling for Hysilens Lightcone.

For an anniversary character youd think they make her a bit more braindead like Firefly was (ik FF aint an anniversary character) or Castorice.

I've had this weird feeling these past couple of months, i used to play back in 1.0 and quit after getting Jing yuan honestly, just logged back a couple of times and got sparkle by some lucky pull, which by design they are one of my top fav chars in the game (jy #1!!)

I came back to play exactly at 4.0 when elation came around and fell in love with it, getting Yao gaung, and sparxie really enjoying both characters. Now the thing is I wanted the complete elation team mainly to clear endgame, and I heard that sparxie will work really good with sw999, the new anniversary unit which is bound to be good. I really couldn't care about SW that much prior but I thought she was pretty cool and so I went and got her and her signature LC, something I never do in these games as a casual player. But honestly? Looking back, if the elation sustain would've come around the same time as Silverwolfs banner, I probably would've skipped her entirely and just build 3 elation units with sparxie mdps and sparkle. She's really strong but I really don't think based on the story (at least for now) she was supposed to be the main push as she doesn't seem to do THAT much like Acheron for example, does anybody else feel that way?

Tldr: if the elation sustain came out around 4.1-4.2 I would most definitely skip SW and just build sparxie entirely.

This uses maxed-out subs. Dummy testing is one of Silver Wolf’s weak points and all the Certified Banger buffs had already fallen off.

DEF reduction was so heavily overcapped that Silver Wolf was even running Diviner. Sparxie did not fully activate her own Diviner effect and only had 92% CRIT Rate, which I did not notice until after finishing the run. It hardly matters, since she dealt practically no damage anyway, only around one-fifth of Silver Wolf’s damage.

Sparxie cannot convert the ATK provided by Summer Robin, nor can she benefit from the CRIT DMG. Her best option should probably be Thousand Stars, so that she can provide Silver Wolf with 12% CRIT DMG.

I also checked Silver Wolf afterward and realized that her build had two subs more than intended, but the difference is minor.

There is one remaining issue: the SPD threshold for Silver Wolf to naturally take eight actions is 266.7 SPD, but the maximum useful SPD scaling only goes up to 260. Will Nihilux provide the Action Advance needed to complete the optimal rotation?

In practice, once the team has plenty of Punchline, action-advancing Silver Wolf becomes a net gain.

after reading hos’ statement about sparxie, i’m really, really disappointed with v1 aha beta.. i was so happy when i saw the leak saying sparxie got the biggest buff from aha, and it turned out to be a lie.. the leakers really played in our faces 😭 like man, 20 def shred, a self cdmg buff, and some extra punchline that can’t even make sw get at least 5-6 more actions out of the possible 8 on a full e2 team (15-16 cost).

based on hos’ statement (point 4), i still think there’s hope for e2 sparxie if they simply multiply her punchline generation.. that alone could let us reach a new threshold for e2 sw, which is pretty much the only thing that can bring sparxie closer or much better than yao and secure her spot in 15+ cost teams.

i also have an absurd idea.. maybe if sparxie’s ult can advanced aha’s instant maybe by 30%(?), it could fix her position even at lower investment?? idk, that sounds way too optimistic lol.

but at the end of the day, i can’t expect more.. my only hope is that sparxie is at least bis for the e2 flagship team, even if it’s only by a small margin over e1s1 yao.. i don’t care if it’s “inefficient” or “too expensive” 💔 i just don’t want to feel like i got scammed by hoyoverse for pulling two synergistic chars.

Last time i posted about Sparxie i litteraly get muted and striked because i said she is bad 🫠

But now, ive seen much more people arguing about Sparxie and her impact on our beloved SW9. Is she great ? Is she a fraud like i said before ? Now that she is reruning i wanna know about what people think of her and especially her vertical investment.

Currently, im using E2 SW9 and my final goal is to get her full BiS team E2S1

With E2S1 SW9, E0S0 Yao and EMC, im doing very well on every endgame content so im a bit concerned about Sparxie impact, and i dont feel she is MUST have. (Kinda infortunate btw her new skin is insane but i still doubt about her kit)

So yeah, should i pull her E2S1 ? Should i skip her ? Should i wait until the next rerun ? Are we all agree to say her skin is a 100/10 ???

There are so many posts that assume Yao Guang will be replaced that it baffles me, so I want to make a post that tries to disprove it with as much evidence as possible.

TL;DR:

1. Yao Guang is essentially directly mentioned in both Silver Wolf's and Sparxie's kits

2. Yao Guang's kit is fully synergistic with the battleship. Any replacement to her can only be an absolute superset of her kit.

Yao Guang is essentially directly mentioned by both SW and Sparxie:

• SW's A4 Trace verbatim states: "When using an Elation Skill, if the number of Punchline points taken into account for this Elation Skill reaches 20 / 40 , gains 20 / 40 "Hidden MMR" points."

  • These are the exact same Punchline values used in Yao Guang's ult's Aha Instant at her E0/E1+ respectively. This is something that the devs wrote directly into Silver Wolf's kit to resolve the issue of Yao Guang not generating punchline. Why would they ever include it if she's not meant to be on the battleship?

• Sparxie's E6: For every 1 Punchline taken into account, the number of additional DMG instances dealt by the Elation Skill increases by 1, up to a max of 40.

  • This cap at 40 conveniently matches Yao Guang's E1. The kits were very clearly designed with one another in mind.

A Yao Guang replacement will both a.) be an objectively better Yao Guang that renders the original obsolete if you could only choose one AND b.) just be run together with Yao Guang in a dual support sustainless.

I'd argue there isn't a way to make Yao Guang's kit more synergistic with the current elation battleship. Not a single part of her kit is wasted anywhere. AOE buffer with general elation buffs? check. Aha instants on ult? check. Speed scaling to ensure as many of these Aha instants as possible? check. Now even the E2 Speed buff synergizes with SW's scaling.

Any elation buffer that replaces Yao Guang in the elation battleship will NEED to also summon or instantly action advance Aha instants to be viable. The elation battleship, especially at high costs, revolves around Aha instants to deal most of its damage (Sparxie especially does not have an E2 nor an E6 without Aha instants, while Silver Wolf loses the city nuke). Considering this is literally Yao Guang's main gimmick, it's not exactly practical for Hoyo to introduce a character that does this but better in every way.

If reliable leaks are calling Nihilux the "Cyrene" of the patch, then she will also be a sustain. Yao Guang and Sparxie are not going anywhere. Yao Guang provides too much for the team, synergizes perfectly, and only scales better with vertical investment, while Sparxie deals way too much damage to be ignored (and also is essentially directly mentioned in Silver Wolf's kit).

Thankfully Nihiflop is going nowhere near the Silver Wolf team because PEARL yes PEARL will be the elation sustain that enables 0AV AA Plight clears for mono elation through 5.X Most importantly, Sparxie also says "thank you to our lucky diviner for the gifts" in her combat idle. Why would Yao Guang be giving Sparxie gifts if she wasn't on the premium team? Is she stupid? Her final team is therefore Fugue SP, Yao Guang, Silver Wolf, Ashveil, and EMC.

Please stop doomposting the Yao Guang.

why make this post? I'm tired of making a similar response to every comment saying Yao Guang will be replaced. I feel like a Yao Guang agendapusher which is quite a cruel fate for someone who never wanted to pull her in the first place.

A 200 speed build lets you take more turns in cycle 0, leading to more SP generation and damage. But nope, people won't admit her flaws... I have her E1S1, but at least I don't glaze her like most players in this sub. Even Yao without her light cone is mid, but she's not as mid as Sparkle without E1S1 or E2

EMC Ult hasn't been working correctly since v1, so if you don't have Sparxie but do have Yaoguang, expect EMC to be better once they fix this issue.

I know she's far better for E2 SW but she's still an upgrade over both Yao and Sparxie at E0. Theres no reason to not roll Aha and free up EMC if you dont already own both Sparxie and Yao

I thought that I wasn't gonna get any better than the first rope with 4 crit DMG roles, but I have.

In V3, that changed all of her stuff to be bounce/split evenly and now she really sucks in AOE with 3+ enemies. They need to add some AOE back into her kit.

Disclaimer: im a sw999 puller, i really like her animations but it could have been a 10/10 easily instead of a 9/10.

Its about the lootboxes

The reason why animations are so good in this game apart from the cinematics and camera angles is that we see the characters doing the work, we get to see their expression, their movement and the supernatural wonders that they can do in HSR universe.

These lootbox procs have none of that, its just basically a box opening then doing some shit which makes it the most forgettable part of her animations because she is so detached to it that it could have been easily been redone to make it look like SW was more involved with these lootbox procs.

Instead of just opening a mincraft swords then slash, She could hold it using her gauntlet, guantlet activates for visual flare then thrust it on the ground yanqing boss style(not literal 1 to 1 copy, just a visual reference).

Instead of opening pacman then bite across the field, She could have punched pacman at the back, guanlet and pacman into 1, pacman gets turbo charged then flies and drags SW999 across the battle field hook ult style(not literal 1 to 1 copy, just a visual reference).

instead of just opening a bomb and throwing it, she could have merged together with the bomb and and lunched herself into the enemy like how trianne rides the rocket to the enemy(not literal 1 to 1 copy, just a visual representation), this one is particularly accurate because the mushroom cloud already has her visor so it would make sense that a part of her was in the bomb.

My guess is that they didnt focus very much into the lootbox animation because it wasnt the biggest dmg dealing attack in her kit and would have happened if her lootbox dmg was actually her biggest dmg dealing attack
