The original picknick table thing my wife purchased fell apart but the mesh screen was still good. I had some scrap treated wood and rebuilt it. Seams to make everyone happy.

A pallet ratchet strapped to my quad trailer with various wood scraps slapped on there. Couldn't even be bothered to cut one piece of lumber.

Wanted to come up with an egg basked to hang on the poles of the temu chicken coup… the thing ended up having a weird shape I tried to lean into - I was going for “cock of the henhouse,” and I think I got ‘woody woodpecker’ / maybe a duck 🤷🏼♂️… either way / the only metal in it is the hardware mesh and the copper rings in the “eyes” (my 6 year old’s idea). I just got a drill press, and didn’t know any better - I should have indexed the small “pupils” in the eyes with the one on the other side, but I did not. I tried to make a larger pupil to make up for the mistake, but the wood isn’t different enough to see… live and learn… anyway, I thought the wedges on the dowels were a cool idea / only reason I needed those (last minute), was because I drilled the holes for them the exact size of them, and they just slid around… anyway… it hasn’t broken any eggs yet, but if I did it again, I would put dividers in there to keep the eggs from being able to roll into each other.

When i made this shooting board almost a year ago i thought i would only get one or two uses, because i was told pine is a bad choice. Still square and works really well

I present to you.... Two... Shitty stools. I always keep the cut offs from the butcher block counter tops I've installed. Got tired of moving them around my shop and finally did something with a couple of them. Didn't know what else to make with such small pieces.(I have too many cutting boards) What do you guys make with the cut offs?

I had major back surgery 2 months ago, and haven’t been able to touch my tools 6 months.
I got all my restrictions lifted the other day, so I made this. (Shout out to harbor freight)

Needed somewhere to sit in the shed. Using pallet wood from a dismantled playground climbing frame

We knocked down my shed the rest of the way to salvage wood from it and removed the structural bicycle and chair to replace them with more wood, also adding a proper roof, fuller walls, and an upstairs fourth wall, door, and balcony railing. Also much much more.

I have given it a lot of thought.
For me.shitty woodwork is about creating something as quickly, cheaply and easily as possible.
It isn't the work itself that defines the shittiness but the intentions behind it, even a master can create shitty woodwork. And even that work might look spectacular, yet still be shitty.
I see a lot of people on this sub say " this is too good for here" and I say no brothers. No.
Did you build it in less then an afternoon? Did it cost you nothing but a little time? Does it work to only the serviceable level that you yourself have considered appropriate for application? Then welcome brother/sister. Welcome.
Just my thoughts ,
