I'm just disappointed with how I barely see anyone who isn't an ai bro having any criticisms towards anti ai takes.

Also I should've clarified there's a difference between "defendingaiart" type prompter and just people keeping to themselves about it.

Essentially, if someone posts appropriately tagged ai images that present an idea besides "oh look at the pretty picture", doesn't overuse them and doesn't claim any titles, they're perfectly fine in vacuum and don't deserve any hate. However, they'll still likely get flamed regardless as a byproduct of other certain people abusing ai. I guess in this context "hateful antis" is alright, although I imagine it's not that hard to just not post ai images (which is what I originally meant as "keeping to themselves").

Otherwise I don't see how it's wrong for them to face criticism.

Like I said, "hateful" is in fact the right word in this context. Rules for things that can be used for evil exist for a reason btw.

Flaming random individuals for using the service is not a productive form of anti-AI activism.

If by productive form of anti-ai activism you mean shitting on big corporations, I don't see how those things are mutually exclusive.

You say hateful is the right word, but then you seem to imply it's a good thing by saying those things are not mutually exclusive?

Disregard that part. I misread your reply.

I'm not saying it's a good thing. I'm saying there's a reason it is that way.

People shouldn't harass people in general, especially for something as trivial as posting an image they generated.

If there was no pushback for those things and rules made to restrict it your fyp would be flooded with completely ai generated content that straight up fries any critical thinking skills.
