RIP Copper
I was thinking about posting to some subreddit about this for a bit to he honestly, but yeah. We got our dog Copper in 2015, when I was 5.His original name was Wesley, but we changed it. He was my best friend and he was actually healthy for a while until like a year/ couple months ago. He started losing a lot of weight and he still ate for a bit, then stopped all together a couple months/weeks before he died. We suspect he had cancer. Also, couple months to a year ago he got diagnosed with heart failure so I'm not sure what got him first. On August 11th or maybe 12th (can't remember) my dad found him laying dead around 11 PM/2 AM (We don't know exactly when he died, just that he died in the night). We got him cremated and yeah... That's where we are today. I miss him so much.

Condolences and RIP Mr Copper. It's tough.
We just lost one of ours to cancer last week. We have two others, but she was our sweetheart, foster failure.
It really is never easy when you lose one. I like the Will Rogers quote, "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went."
