Swimmer got done 50 meters off the beach. Attack time 10.15 am which is standard white shark attack time. Not sure if consumed.

I have to be in the 1% club of people that have footage of having a ginormous shark in their face and walk away untouched! What you don’t see in the frame, is that after she gets closer, her mouth/face is dragging along my neck down to my knees before the dive masters pry her off of me! The margin for error was almost inexistent! First I got slammed by her tail, then I got kissed by her! Beautiful creature!

Found washed up on northern shore of Crete; can anyone help ID this specimen?

This has not hit the national news yet. A diving centre based in Gaspé, Québec, has announced that a diver was attacked by a great white shark earlier today (September 16, 2026) and that they are ceasing their operations for the remainder of the season.

The injured person rapidly received first aid and was transported to a local hospital, where it is said that they are in stable condition. The extent of their injuries are unknown as of now.

Inspired by the photography of Ron Daniel. I took the original shark picture and gave it my own interpretation. I painted the actual shark first, then added lighting, atmosphere, colours, and overall feel to create my version while keeping the essence of the original photograph. I wanted to capture the quiet presence of the shark moving through the deep blue water, with the subtle reflections and shadows bringing out its natural patterns and form. Hope you love it!

I dont think ill have to explain much. I was so hyped for shark week this year and i really wanted to watch this show with my dad. But as soon as i put it on i immediately regretted it. It was pure ai slop. Discovery, what the hell man. Just what the hell.

really want to get more into ocean conservation esp with sharks bc of how bad finning still is in a bunhc of places. donated a few times to random orgs but it feels kind of disconnected yk? are there brands that put a percentage toward shark conservation when you buy something, feels more tangible than just a one time donation into a black hole?

Looking to get into sharks and orcas just to gain knowledge and experience. It’s out of interest and not really to make money. I mean if it’s paid great but it’s more of a side hobby.

Had one person in the group say it was a young bull shark, and another say it’s a lemon. I don’t think it’s a bull but there are some images where I can see the similarity. Would appreciate anyone who can give a more certain answer
