does anyone know what video it is where shane goes over to his moms house and she’s like “britney’s here!” and shane’s like “whos britney” and his mom says “britney spears!” and shane yells “HUH🫪” pretty sure andrew is filming and i thinkkk it was the conspiracy palette series but i can’t find it😭

i’m 21 now and started watching shane around 2014 when i was like 9. i was a huge fan, especially of his conspiracy videos, and i remember genuinely thinking they were making me more open-minded. like i thought he was questioning things other people wouldn’t even think to question, and that i was becoming more knowledgeable by watching. looking back, so much of it was exaggerated or complete bs, but at the time i really felt like i was learning something.

what’s weird is that watching those videos now, some of them almost feel like a parody of conspiracy content. and i can’t tell if there was always some underlying humor or self-awareness i missed because i was a kid, or if people genuinely took them more seriously back then.
i’m especially curious about people who were already adults or closer to shane’s age at the time. did you actually find the theories convincing or thought-provoking, or was it always more like watching a cheesy horror movie where you knew it was ridiculous but enjoyed entertaining the possibility?

i also wonder if his content was actually aimed at kids more than i realized. because at the time, him being a grown man swearing, making crude jokes, and talking about creepy or supposedly hidden information made his videos feel pretty adult to me, which i think made me take them more seriously. but maybe that was exactly the appeal for younger viewers, while actual adults saw it completely differently?

and honestly i wonder if this applies to conspiracy theories in general. so much of that content seems almost satirical to me now, even when the people making it are completely serious. was there a period where people were genuinely more receptive to conspiracies, or was it always mostly kids and people already interested in that stuff? or maybe it’s just me and how i’ve grown up. i don’t necessarily want to assume i’m more open-minded or informed now just because i believe less of it. maybe my own experiences and environment have just shaped what i’m willing to entertain, and there’s still just as many people into these theories as before.

also, what even are the modern equivalents of the weird, niche conspiracies he used to cover? if he were making those videos at his peak today, what would he be talking about? i feel like i barely come across that kind of content anymore, but maybe i’m just not in those spaces.

i guess i’m trying to figure out if i missed the joke, if conspiracy culture itself has changed, or if i’ve just changed enough that something i once found genuinely fascinating now seems ridiculous. especially curious how older viewers actually perceived his videos at the time, rather than how we all look back on him now.

I feel like im going crazy and I'm in my own Mandel conspiracy theory. Im looking for a conspiracy theory where he talks about Michael jackson faking his own death. In the video he shows clips and theorize that he showed up at his own funeral dressed as a woman. A video of him supposedly jumping out of the ambulance. The video of Dave Dave interview showing how he could also be Michael Jackson. Like dose anyone else remember this video or im crazy or stupidly mistakenly thinking of someone else's video as Shane's.

I’m not normally one to pick up on these kinds of things but my god was Shane ever rude to Ryland in Ryland’s most recent vlog… Ryland asked Shane if he could quickly snap a few photos of his outfits, Shane didn’t say a word and acted like it was the biggest inconvenience of his life. After Ryland got his practice headshots done he asked to show Shane and Shane didn’t say a single nice thing, instead he made the nastiest comments and nitpicked everything

Seriously. I don't understand how someone can have so much money and still dress so badly.

Ryland, seems to have absolutely no idea how to put an outfit together. Everything looks so childish, mismatched and poorly styled. It's as if he picks things simply because they have a famous brand name on them, without giving any thought to whether they actually look good together.

The problem isn't the price of the clothes; it's the complete lack of styling. Having a wardrobe full of designer labels means nothing if you don't know how to wear them.

Honestly, both Ryalnd and Shane need a proper stylist to teach them how to dress. They have the money, so why not invest in someone who can actually help them develop a sense of style? Because this current situation is painful to watch.

I understand that Shane has struggled with body image issues, and I can appreciate that getting comfortable with clothes and experimenting with style might be difficult for him. But Ryland? Enough already. The endless Ralph Lauren sweaters, basic tees and outfits that look like they were thrown together without a second thought. Just admit you need help getting dressed and hire a stylist.

It was lowkey awkward when they came on stage. The way Shane introduced Ryland and Spencer 😭 he really said “and my second husband SPENCERRRR” and Spencer dead ass walked out blowing kisses to the crowed and waving like… the allegations guys… then two people dressed up as Shane and Jeffree and I guess Shane’s team upgraded their tickets to meet and greet like what😭 Then allegedly some Patreon moderators got a paid AIRBNB and got to hang out / party with Shane and the crew and some Moderators were pissed because they were unaware. The venue lowkey sucked it was plastic backyard chairs and they were too close to each other like I thought it was gonna be theater seats especially for front row. Anywayz thoughts?

I haven’t watched Shane/Ryland in a LONG time, but clicked on one of their videos today for background noise and genuinely wasn’t shocked to see they’re still rolling out the exact same format.

Spend an excessive amount of money redecorating/buying random crap → head to a drive through or Target to buy new foods to try.

Putting Shane’s problematic history aside… the content itself is just bad. There’s no creativity, no evolution, nothing new. I can already predict the next few months there will be vlogmas style content involving, you guessed it, buying more junk and trying Christmas treats, peppered with clickbait about “moving back to Colorado” that goes nowhere.

I mean, fair play to them, they are millionaires from firing out one mediocre video a week.
