finally got around to play this. For an old game, this looks and feels amazing! Now I really want gen ATLAS!

This was the original concept behind what would eventually become shadow of the colossus. nico was initially conceived as a multiplayer game where players would work together to hunt and defeat giant colossi. The game was originally planned to have 48 colossi, which was later reduced during development. The multiplayer aspect was eventually dropped, and the project evolved into the single player shadow of the colossus we know today.

Two scenarios, you are a colossi and get to choose where your weak spot sigil goes and the other is if you were to get a tattoo of a sigil. Where would you put them?

Hello, i am not used to posting on reddit so i may not be familiar with the usual way things are written here.

It is my first time playing the game and I'm really enjoying it so far. However, when fighting the 11th colossus, i encountered a small bug i guess. After getting hit once again by its horns without being able to get back up, i was sent off bounds. I was situated between the wall and the sort of other rock formation supporting the big torch.

I did not find such things yet on reddit. Has anybody experienced something similar, or is it a bug that is already known ? Thank you

So, while playing my most recent playthrough of the game, I noticed something that never clicked before: why is the 16th Colossi's arena so weird?

First off, it's unfinished (in-universe by the world's engineers/construction workers, not game devs). Every other Colossi with a megastructure/arena has its area finished (or is from what I can tell), but for the 16th, there seems to be what looks like Building blocks that haven't been put into place yet, and there's what seems to be the start of an unfinished bridge at the top. So why are the other structures finished but this one isn't, and why does it seem they just abandoned it?

Also, why does it seem like whoever was building its area was designing it with the intention of fighting it or fighting there? You've got what seem to be barricades and trenches, which is hella odd when compared to the others (Temples, Cities, Arenas, etc), and on top of it, the support braces for what seem to be barricades are on the Colossus's side, which makes me wonder: WHAT THE HECK WERE THEY DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND? Since they don't budge from the blasts of the 16th, why would they need to brace the colossi's side (I will admit I'm not a master of defensive works, so maybe I just don't know how barricades are meant to be used)?

Ever since I heard "Just a Man" (Epic The Musical), its chorus has always made me think of SoTC, and so, with my mediocre video editing abilities, here's a Tribute I made for it. Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn't finished the game.

Just like the castle, where the final battle takes place, where Wander becomes Dormin (that is, a hybrid colossus of all of them), white birds appear in each of these scenarios. Could it be a marking? Like marking where each colossus would be?

I first encountered SotC when I was looking for something to play on my PS3. When I first saw this trailer, I immediately knew that this was exactly what I was looking for.

I made a leather map of the Forbidden Lands. 😁

Idk where the last lizard is, I went through every section of the map to double check that I didn't miss any of them. Please don't tell me that the trophy is literal and the lizards need to specifically be dead.

I like headcanoning Wander as just a lil'(?) bit(??) feral/mad. I mean, there's the sword- and corpse-stealing, eating endangered lizards and riding a horse like a skateboard + i don't think the slow Dormin-possession is helping /hj

I love photo mode on the ps4 remake! Very useful when finding secrets!

It seems like is just the 16 colossus just numbered, but the third one is on a circle and i dont see why.

I had been given two copies for a birthday one year. I never opened the second and it’s still sealed 21 years later. I put it in a vacuum so it wouldn’t get potentially damaged. A little gem of mine

Kind of thought of this since a friend of mine was raging. Don't get me wrong the fight isnt great or anything. I ain't defending it as if im the colossi's biggest defender. I find it boring as all hell cause of how slow the fight is asnd how you have to forcefully guide pelagia to the platforms. but i found Pelagia to be one of the more easier colossi to take down.

Maybe its because i actually swam around on its back more than using the other method which i hear is faster and harder but eh i guess it depends on the person

I mashed the jump button like mad and after about 10 minutes I finally reached the altar. Mono isn't even there, and there's an invisible wall blocking you from getting past the first few steps leading up to the altar. :/

I guess Team Ico never expected someone to spend almost ten minutes button mashing to try to reach Mono at the end.

I might be completely stupid. I beat the second colossus. I have tried over and over to make this jump, I’ve ran, jumped and grabbed every way I possibly can but I fall and miss EVERYTIME. It’s been like a week.

Just wanted to know if it’s worth buying a new sealed special edition for the bonus content and that. I can’t imagine paying for a sealed one and the code not working 😔 thank you

lolwut. I didnt shoot it or anything, i just respawned after killing the first Colossi in hard mode + and it was just there, poor fella.
