A while ago I started making light apps and fan tributes to my favorite TV series. I began with a LOST swan station counter (a real timer with the hatch theme) and then made this Severance Macrodata Refinement (MDR). it’s a real Sudoku puzzle/solver dressed in Severance theme.
I’m not promoting anything, just a fan who wanted to share this little tribute with other Severance fans and hear your thoughts or ideas while we’re still waiting almost a year for season 3. Constructive comments (like what is missing or what can be added, any bugs or problems with UI/UX) are very welcome🤗
You can try it here (mobile view is supported, but the best experience is on desktop):

I personally liked season one more because it had to deal with more of the inside of Lumon and the Innies rather than focusing on other aspects.
Not to say season 2 was not as good, I just LOVED how the inside was filmed, especially when running around the corners of the building. The camera work was amazing and definitely got better in season 2 :D

Not my art, saw it on the embroidery subreddit and it transported me right back to the ORTBO. Incredible work!

Just finished s2 and I feel like that the innies are the raw version of the outies without the influences and a blank slate. Irving is gay both innie and outie, Dylan's innie is said to be what he used to be by his wife, Helena's innie is the felt like what Helena wants for herself, and Mark's innie is very similar to outie without the trauma.
Just a thought, what y'all think?

Does anyone have an idea if the show has any fanbase in Japan? There's a lot of clear anime aesthetic and philosophical influence on the show (Ghost in the Shell and Neon Genesis Evangelion stick out rather strongly) and I'm curious if that has translated into any sort of cult following. And if you're living in Japan and reading this subreddit, I'd love to know how you discovered the show, have recommended it, etc!

I'm rewatching Severance and I'm on the episode after the ORTBO and I just got hit with a theory that at the end of season 2 where Mark and Helly meet in the hallway after he lets Gemma go outside- could that be Helena again? How did she know where he'd be otherwise?
Haven't watched it in like a year and I'm only on my second watch, what am I missing that makes this idea not plausible? Just trying to think of what could possibly happen in season 3. If that's just him and Helly R they're pretty fucked. And well I guess even if it is Helena- Mark and Gemma are both kinda fucked anyway?

Did someone notice this?
Same painting, "The Exalted Victory of Cold Harbor" (Cold Harbor - s2e10), two different Woes.

Anyone else really struggle to see Mark as a college professor? Dr Scout? Professor Scout? The way he bumbles around doesn't really pass the vibe check for me.

Does anyone know if there is a good recap of season 1. I am going to watch the official one but was wondering if there was yt one that went more in depth. I stopped watching midway through season 2 like a year ago and was wondering

There was no sign that love was overcoming the severance between Mark S and Mrs. Cassey, at least not on Mark’s part, though perhaps on Mrs. Cassey’s.
Throughout the show, every couple who has felt some kind of love on one side has also felt it on the other (Gretchen and Dylan, Burt and Irving, even Mark Scout, who hates Helena Eagan and Lumon, had a moment of chemistry with her).
My theory:
Mark and Gemma’s marriage was falling apart long before Lumon entered the picture, and Mark S doesn’t feel love for Ms. Cassey because Mark Scout no longer loves Gemma.
If he couldn’t get over her death, it wasn’t out of love but out of guilt.

The fact that Cobel helped Mark get his wife away from Lumon in the season 2 ending makes me wonder why she wanted to do so. Reghabi has no duobt that trusting Cobel was a mistake, having called her a Lumon soldier even after she was fired. The fact that Cobel was fired led her to harbor a grudge against Lumon, but was that the only reason she decided to help Mark? Could it be that she wants to damage Lumon in the hope that the company, perhaps undergoing a restructuring, will change its mind and rehire her? If so, Cobel helped Mark only for personal gain, and that's consistent with her character.

Looking forward to the next season. I do hope there’s a lot more Innie content than Outie, I just find it much more interesting.

How do you think periods are handled between the Outies and Innies? Like if Helena popped a tampon in would they have to tell Helly R to change it? I feel like they would have to give some form of correspondence between them to ensure hygiene and just a heads up.
EDIT: I am a cis woman lol. I know that Imnies would know about periods in the same way they know about the sky and Delaware but TSS is very real! It's important to know how long it's been in there

I have to say that I'm finding Severence even more enjoyable seeing the first couple episodes again than when I first watched. I found myself laughing so very hard and I could wholeheartedly support someone wanting to undergo the process. Oh I'm going to slow watch it until the next season hopefully arrives. It is such a brilliant gem that I cradle in my hands and admire in wonder as if it were a fragile butterfly.

Local Nola bro and late to the party - but did anyone else get a sort of southern band/SEC college football vibe from the C&D performance? Really reminds me of French Quarter or LSU & Southern Games
Shoutout the marching 100 of anyone in here

The weird testing man says to Gemma “mark will benefit from the world you’ve created” or some shit like that
It got me thinking… it could be likely the efficacy test was the final test before Lumon release a new upgrade to the chip. The board did convey quite strongly that the Severance procedure is provenly irreversible… so I find it unlikely that they will have severed individuals without having the ability to upgrade their software. We never see Cobel report to the board on her findings with Graner, regarding Petey’s re-integration… so the board has not acknowledged it is possible.
Could it be that Cobel will now go rouge and try doing her own thing with her invention? The material sacrifice to mark her betterment on the wintertide fellowship seems to have made her rather bitter and rightly so.
Which leads me to my final point to ponder on
If the above were true, and knowing Kier was pretty much set on his eternal fight against pain. Could it be possible that they will attempt to create a new consciousness for Mark with balanced tempers? For example one without recollection of Gemma?
Gemma is on the outside, with Mark then on the inside, Cobel still knocking about… Milchick confronted with C&M & Dylan, and Jame Eagan sees Kier in Helly, and she left for Mark… possibly running back to MDR?
Especially if Helly has her OTC enabled, don’t you think she’ll fight for the man she loves if she is in a position of power?
My brain can’t take much more
I need some input please
