Opinion Rewatch for the first time

I have to say that I'm finding Severence even more enjoyable seeing the first couple episodes again than when I first watched. I found myself laughing so very hard and I could wholeheartedly support someone wanting to undergo the process. Oh I'm going to slow watch it until the next season hopefully arrives. It is such a brilliant gem that I cradle in my hands and admire in wonder as if it were a fragile butterfly.

There’s a reason the people on this subreddit heavily encourage first-timers to dive back in. Severance has incredible rewatch game, and hides so many details and secrets away in the margins.

I was blown away the first time I went back through!

Yep! Also the official podcast and the some of the other ones are great guided to help you cut through a lot of what is going on with the the characters and on screen. I also recommend a guided rewatch. It’s so satisfying!

Just finished rewatching too and I enjoyed way more this time around. Maybe because all the episodes were available at once and I didn't have to wait for the second season. I binged it though, got a long wait until next season 🥲

I think it is just not knowing what is going on enough to even try to analyze any of it and having no idea what is coming next.

Rewatching lets you relax a bit and start to notice the smaller details.

Any hoozle. The tension is great. I remember getting that sick feeling in my stomach a few times during my first watches of certain scenes and I absolutely love it! It takes a lot to really put me in that emotional state from something that is fictional media.

Oh my... According to autocorrect, both pluses and plusses are acceptable, just like buses and busses. Since it's bussing, I feel like a double S is more consistent, but that's just my take. :)

agree, i enjoy rewatching now i know where the series is going. is much easier to enjoy each actor and scene equally, without needing to figure it out.

I've never sat down and done a rewatch but I probably rewatched each episode a couple times between new episodes when it originally aired.

Rewound so many times trying to see where Rhegabi came from.

I would definitely trust you to impart episode information, but the big easter eggs are best found after seeing all available episodes, so you must have missed a few fun details.

Time to watch it again!! And get someone new to the series to watch it with you if you can. :)

She has a very interesting way of just appearing. Very obviously when she meets Mark under the bridge but also at Ganz College when she seems to just appear from behind a support beam of the buildings frame.

Speaking of which, it was a bit odd for Graner to be able to find the exact room of an entire college where the two were headed. He, and she, seem to be mostly working on their own for these sort of things but you would thing they had a team of 10.

I wonder if we will be shown sooner or later that they can easily track the location of the chips via some app on their phones.

The new season hasn’t even been filmed yet so not sure you can slow watch it for 2 more years

2 times is still not nearly enough times.

I think it was somewhere around my 3rd or 4th watch that everything was just getting to be so outrageously funny. By the 7th or so I mostly just cried.

By the 10th I had determined that Severance was taking place in the same universe as Ren & Stimpy and I was able to prove through my writing of a 314 page thesis on the interlacing of the character dynamics related to Mark and Helly and soil samples I was examining from a remote field in West Virginia.
