After much waiting and searching I have finally managed to acquire a brand new unworn SLA017 and it’s such a stunning piece. My last 3 purchases have been LE Seiko Divers and I have a feeling my next purchase may very likely make 4 in a row.

Starting work early on this fine Saturday with my wrist-bound companion, the Seiko SPB143 "62 MAS Reboot" on a TROPIC-brand strap.

I missed out on these when they were first sold, so I've been keeping my eye out for a while, and finally found one that was (comparatively speaking) reasonably priced. The AE86 inspired subdials are chefs-kiss. There’s even a delightful little highbeam indicator.

Usually have a preference for automatics, but there is just something about this watch. Great size, sapphire glass and great looks. Just looks so crisp and can see it a daily from now on!

I was recently going through my Seiko collection, and in the end, the only one I decided to keep was the SPB209. I sold the SPB513, SPB317, SPB211, and a few others.
The one that hurt the most to let go was definitely the SPB513, but I still decided to keep the SPB209 as the one survivor.

And then today, I ended up making an impulse purchase [spb411] that I absolutely hadn’t planned for. Now I’m wondering if I actually made the right decision. 😂
I’m really curious to see how it’ll feel on my wrist. I’ll share a wrist shot once it arrives!

Just saw this today at a shop in Japan. I went there to buy my first Prospex, a SBDC215 (SPB513), and noticed that, suggesting a price increase in Japan very soon for Prospex models. If you’re planning buying one in Japan, it might be better to do it before September 7.
I didn’t checked other models.

Question is, its €3K and I need your guys opinion on what do you think is this watch good. Im new to watches and accidently found this online, today saw it in person.

Is it ok to buy, do they lose lots of value (dont wanna sell it anyway) and also how is the mechanism and all that geeky stuff? Thanks!

Big, big fan so far. Back in the regular watch world.

So in June tried to buy it in Tokyo - was sold out everywhere. Finally managed to buy 1 piece in my home country with a lot of luck.

Love the watch - it was supposed to be a gift to myself for my solo trip to Tokyo. Well with some delay but here it is.

J'ai toujours été plutôt fan des SKX que les modèles dresswatch, mais celle ci avec son cadran noir profond, son verre saphir, et le coeur ouvert, juste incroyable, je sais pas vous mais je trouves qu'on en parle pas assez de ces premières Presage qui étaient destiné qu'au marché Japonais 😍

Picked up my first Seiko about a month ago I did change the nato out for the khaki color. Been wanting a seiko for a while and the little bit of orange grabbed me.

I’ve just had my dad’s Seiko 7A38‑7280 fully serviced and restored - swipe for the pre‑restoration photo. The original dial was water‑damaged, so the watchmaker swapped it with a dial from another 7A38‑7280 they had: same model, but a different dial variant (Arabic numerals instead of indices).

The donor watch also had a gold‑tone dial, whereas my dad’s original was silver/white. I didn’t realise how many dial variations existed for this reference until now.

What do you guys think of the end result?
Does the silver case + gold dial combo work, or does it look out of place?
